I think Amaterasu is the strongest Jutsu.

Amaterasu"s biggest weakness IMO is the period in which the user first closes their eye, blood comes out, the they aim it. This time can be easily exploited as demonstrated by killer bee. If nagato didn't shinra tensei bees sword away itachi would have received a sword to the face...

Obito used Izanagi. Gaara's sand is much too special, it has his Mothers will imbued in it. The sand protects him instinctively like a Mother would, and it is extremely fast, again, that's a dodging and avoiding tactic not a counter measure.

But you could say the same thing for rasenshuriken, if not, it's stronger. Get hit by it, and you cellular structure is destroyed. Personally I think getting hit by Jinton is the worst. Jinton>Ama as well IMO

Depends. Amaterasu burns really fast when the user is focusing his eyesight on target. Itachi burned through Jiraiyas Frog Stomach in second, but when he out of the picture and black flames were left by themselves they werent enlarging the hole at all.

I think peope forget one thing, just because you dodge something, does not mean that you are safe against that thing again.
Sasuke overstimated A speed and the right time to trow the flame at the kage. the only man who has dodge it.

But if a swordman comes at you and you dodge his first attack it does not mean that you will be able to dodge the nextone to come.
If that were the case than any battle its rather pointless just because 1 guy dodge your first 2 punches lol!

Battles are more complex than that, and its also nessesary to have the right time for it, if someone dodge you, try a again in a different way, even if the oponent its fast, you might end up finding a way to land a hit on it lol..

If u dont consider blocking,sealing,avoiding,cutting off your body part to stop the flame spreading and let the fire completely engulf u then even any simple form of katon can also burn its victim to death.

P.S sasuke survived amatersu direct hit and his body was burning but he still survived.

I ALMOST agree with that statement. He was 99.99% correct.

The strongest jutsu's that we've seen had counters:

Chibaku Tensei- Destroying the core of the gravitational pull entirely, stops this jutsu. Though, you do need an extremely strong attack to destroy the core.

Shinra Tensei- As strong as it was, a 6 Tailed Naruto was able to completely withstand it, and turn it's force on Pain instead.

In the opposite direction to or in conflict with: "some actions ran counter to the call for leniency".



Here's the thing with Amaterasu and why I consider it the strongest jutsu, it cannot be countered.

When it comes to Amaterasu, you can:

A) Dodge

B) Permanently lose an arm or a leg, or any other limb that gets engulfed in the black flame.(Reason why Ei was...."disarmed".

C) Use an extremely powerful Substitution jutsu.

D) Izanagi


You see, the reason why I consider Amaterasu as the strongest jutsu, is because you cannot do anything besides avoid it. You can only run or lose your own arms and legs to avoid dying from it.

And there isn't anything in existence that Amaterasu cannot burn. Everything must burn, and be annihilated.

This is why I think Sasuke is much too powerful now, and the strongest Uchiha by far. He controls Amaterasu like a part of his own body.

Good analysis, however, do you remember when Nagato used his Rinnegan powers, (Shinra tensei) to dispel the black flames from his body? that's a counter in itself, now I understand that you need to obtain the rinnegan to be able to use this counter effectively, but nonetheless it's a defense in itself

Oro can counter it , Sasuke , Gaara , Kakashi , Obito , Hashirama , Nagato ( he can counter it using his paths but he was not aware of it as an edo because his legs ) , current Naruto can Dodge it , third Raikage , fourth Raikage

most overrated jutsu for sure

3rd Raikage can't dodge Amaterasu, he's only as fast as v1 A and he needed V2 to dodge Amaterasu.

Gaara can block Enton not Amaterasu.

Kakashi can't dodge it and Kamui won't work as it isn't a projectile.
