I like Naruto, but does anyone else think his progress is a bit too much?

I mean there of course was going to be one day where Naruto would conquer his hatred and form an alliance with the Kyuubi but i think his progress is a bit TOO much.
At the start of the series I could relate to Naruto because he was born from nothing and wasn't very talented but now we are getting all sorts of information:

-He is born into the Uzumaki Clan, descendants of the Sage
-The Child of the Prophecy
-Son of Yondaime Minato Namikaze
-And now he is apparently the reincarnation of a God?

People say that Naruto represents the hard work ethic, but after all of these events we cannot really support that anymore. Even Rock Lee or Gai, the most hardworking people in the series, cannot possibly live up to all of this. This is starting to contradict what Naruto said to Neji about Destiny.

What are your opinions?

Yeah Naruto turned into someone who has the biggest haxxed s**t from birth; i possibly can not relate to him.

The prophecy is the biggest bulls**t; it is the most common and annoying plot device used in stories; he was one of my favorites but all underdog thing got ruined by all those stuff like heritage and prophecy.

And yeah; it contradicts to what his character represents; in terms of hardwork and being an underdog who wants to prove himself; Lee would be the best one to represent and he had been tossed aside.

Without them, he'd struggle to take on an average leveled Jonin.

I agree he should have been shown training more and harder although he has already had sage mode training, km mode training and rasen shurrikan training. It did look to easy though in most cases.

Plot could have been handled way more creative and Naruto would have a better kind of importance to the world.

Did Naruto choose any of this himself? No. Neji said you can't change your destiny.

In part 1, Naruto was a talentless ninja. He couldn't even do the clone jutsu. It wasn't fate Naruto learned that jutsu. If Naruto didn't work hard and learn how to perform the jutsu he wouldn't know it today.

Rasengan - He learned it.
Sage Mode - He had to go train with frogs.
Nine-Tails - He had to go 1 on 1 with the Nine-Tails.
Shadow Clone Jutsu - He had to steel a scroll and almost got killed learning that jutsu.

Naruto had to earn what he has now. He didn't awaken the MS and a OP jutsu came to him.
