Both refer to present tense. Both Hashirama and Tobirama are ultimate shinobi, and Hiruzen is a shinobi god. Niether one in the Viz translation is used in past tense.

famed is a present tense mate.

famed : known about by many people; renowned.

fame : the condition of being known or talked about by many people, especially on account of notable achievements.

Famed is simply the adjective form, compared to fame which is a noun.

Ok see, it says "As a god of shinobi" "a" meaning there were others, like Hashirama.

Orochimaru says the samething to Hashirama "honor to be praised by A god of shinobi". So meaning Hiruzen was strong enough to achieve that title. However, Tobirama and Hashirama are still the ultimate shinobi.

1. there is no need for them to know about them. Nor is the arguement whether they knew about them. That is irrelevant. We are comparing hypes.. not which one knew the actual people. understand that. Hype comes from people who have seen them.. and thats how hype spreads.

3. Fairy tails = beyond belief. Notice their POWERS were considered fairy taill... lol not the people themselves. Yet despite that they were still famed as the ultimate shinobi.
