Since the SH have been owning them it does seem like it should've ended already
What does a fight end?

It is a story not a boxing match.

If One Piece was only fights without a good story to back it up it would be boring as hell to read. If Oda rushes the Strawhats out of Fishman island now just because the baddies are down, he will leave a lot of loose ends and he will have a problem in the future.

There still is a lot of talking left to do, like it or not.

I also agree with this. One Piece isn't like the other mangas (and I'm not naming any because I'm not bashing).

A good example is the Alabasta Arc. Even though the Straw Hats defeated the major players in Baroque Works, that isn't what stopped the rebellion.

At first I thought it was a complete drag.
Most of the recent chapters have me thinking the other way.
This arc can take as long as possible.

The arc isn't "bad" I just find the way it's going to end way to predictable, and it seems a huge waste of time to just see the straw hats owning their opponents without even breaking a sweat, since it's stopping us from seeing the NW, which will undoubtedly be !,000,000,000,000 times better than this arc, yes, I want this arc to end as soon as possible.

But besides that, this arc seems to make less and less sense to me, at the beginning oda made the frog swordsmen guy (xd) out to be an incredibly strong fighter, I don't remember exactly what happened but he slashed luffy or something and luffy said "he has to be really strong," This kinda set up an epic fight between him and zoro, similar to zoro vs Mr. 1, but we've gotten bullshit tbh, I wanted to see more of a challenge as this arc has been going on for over a year.

And the same goes for luffy, he makes it seem like hody got some huge power boost, twice, and then he still gets one-move-pwned, it's not very entertaining seeing constant one-move-pwns, especially when it's against the strongest people on fishmen island(from what it seems anyway, as hody took out the princes with ease, and the king and his arm) besides jinbei.

In short, the only result from this arc is that oda basically pointed out(unless he introduces new and more powerful fishman) that fishman are extremely weak in comparison to anyone in the NW, with the exception of jinbei who seems to be on a completely different level than any fishman, so while the arc hasn't been so bad, it has been FAR from good, it hurts the story line, doesn't add up so well, and has been dragged out sooooo looonnnggg!!! I WANT THE NW ALREADY!!!

the current arc will end when shirahoshi summons the sea kings. This is not a bad arc, personally didnt like the sky island arc, dunno why....both look similar ending with big ships.

I think people people are just expecting too much of this arc, considering the battle of marineford was so bloody epic. It's the same as for any other anime, just let it play out (as it's not that bad) and wait for the real epic arcs to come. I mean, you can't expect oda to simply start with the most epic fight of all time instantly post-timeskip.

In the beginning it was fun, what with the crew getting together after two years and journeying to the depths of sea, punching a kraken! but now it has gone on long enough! I loved the latest chapter with all the straw hats showing off their new skills, but mainly I am hoping its nearing the end! the whole deal with hody, Otohime, Arlong, Neptune, is very exhausting and hard to sympathize with. Just let the straw hats loose in the new world already!
Just stop reading already.

I completely agree with you and the last statement took me by surprise but I liked it! lol Not to mention the break that Oda took. This arc has dragged on for so long and reminds me of the Hueco Mundo arc. Also in my opinion, Oda failed with many of the Gyojin, Ningyo and villain's artwork. I would have loved to see the best he could produce seeing as his illustrations are not topnotch. I did not like the battle pairings especially Sanji/Jimbei as either one or the other singly would have been more than enough for that grotesque appearing blowfish. Sanji's turning into stone and almost "dying" by lack of blood was retarded and a waste of time. It does finally seem like we're nearing the end although it also still seems like the ending is just inching along -_-
Grotesque appearing blowfish, I'd take over some bland faced troll with a cross-shaped sword or a troll with a magical eye and shield combo.
