[Question] How long before it gets good?

Hi guys ..

So, I've thought for quite some time, that I should watch One Piece - I mean, if so many great people who also love Naruto like it so much? Then there's gotta be something about the fuss..

But I've now seen the first 69 episodes (They are heading toward Little Garden right now).. And I'm still not that hooked. I mean, I like the characters, and like it when they are in a pinch and Luffy's resolve shows.

I've heard several times that you gotta give it time before it gets really good - but how many episodes is that?

After the Little Garden you get it a good going . when "mr 3 appears" . and then all becomes good , they will recruit chopper , but in that "mini-arc" the speeches of luffy are epic as fuck as always... soon it will get good . When they reach to alabasta is going to be even more epic .

They say beauty lies in the eyes of beholder so its up to you that when you start liking it, i started to love it after zoro joined and became luffy's nakama and also new friends came in existence, so i think keep watching and i bet you'll also find it interesting. Good luck

Haha! I'm persistant .. I watched all the filler arks after Sasuke left in Naruto aswell!..
So if I just know it takes 200 episodes - well.. then I'll watch 200 .. But if it gets better after the Little Garden part, and at the Alabasta part.. well.. then atleast I got something to look forward for in the near future!

Don't drop it man, if you aren't that hooked into it, go check some AMV's on YouTube. It is by far one of the best ongoing anime's there is. It gets interesting soon ! Also, take into account that what you are watching like like 15years old, so...

Aye.. I know And it's quite a good point! But I've been thinking about reading the manga instead, untill the anime "gets good"? I normally enjoy watching the animes more - since I like the feelings the soundtrack and voice acters are able to add to the story - but once i'm done with the anime, I can't keep myself from reading the manga most of the time!

You will most likely start liking it when the Alabasta arc starts (episode 93 and onward). You will love it when you get into the 200s =D

I normally enjoy watching the animes more - since I like the feelings the soundtrack and voice acters are able to add to the story - but once i'm done with the anime, I can't keep myself from reading the manga most of the time!

Once you get into the Crocodile stuff it gets good then a really short Jaya arc which is good, but then there are probably 60 episodes of a really long arc I did not enjoy. Then you get to water 7 and Enies lobby etc...

Yeah this, the Crocodile stuff got me hooked dude was beast, you should be up to it soon, if you don't like it around about there its probably not your type of series, it only gets better after that though (Ennies Lobby, Marineford, Saboady etc)

The arc that got me hooked was the Baratie Arc and the few episodes where Shanks appears for the first time.

to be honest I was already hooked after like 10 episodes , if u watched 60+ and ur still waiting till it become good then..meh... maybe its just not for you, One Piece.

I'll watch atleast untill the Crocodile stuff.. and if I like it I'll watch till episode 200!..
