Well, I liked the arlong ark - but as alot of you have been saying, it tends to drag out the plot quite a bit!
So perhaps I should follow that advice to read the manga instead.. and then perhaps around the Arabasta ark I can take up the anime again?
You were watching the anime before so stick with it. There's not much of lose if you're watching the anime were you're currently are. I suggest reading the manga once you're "hooked". Personally, I don't think it drags on that much considering it is an adventure (how can you possibly rush an exciting adventure? xd). However, if you do think it does then reading the manga would be the better choice.

So..
I'm not sure anyone actually reads this thread anymore :) But I just got to the desert fight between Crocodile and Luffy - And as alot of you said - I'M HOOKED! :D

It actually happened at the end of the Drum kingdom arc - When Chopper was intruduced (Not just because of him - but something just happened to the story there, that I quite liked) :)

So.. Once again - Thanks guys :)

Alabasta arc ; always does the trick :p
Looks like it :p.. I've even saved this evening to make some good food and just watch it :D

It's much better than Naruto and I saw it after Naruto...
Hope I'm gonna feel the same way :) I think one of the things I was missing was some other character arc types than Luffy.. So once he met Chopper, and now Ace - It kinda changed the setting :)

But one of the things I love about Naruto, is that they develop their abilities - and actually gotta train to learn it (unless they get a power boost ofc.). But with Luffy, It's always the same, and I can't really see how he can learn a new move..
