Hmnn. I didnt enjoy battling much on that bleach server, mostly because fights could go on for 8+ hours (since you were in a game, it wasnt like leaving a post and going off to do other things. This was 8+ hours straight!) and they often devolved into arguements over wording... If battling here is like that >_>

I did enjoy writing powers and custom techs though! And i thoroughly enjoy making pretty bios.

If you enjoy that, this place is a Nice platform to showcase your knowledge in that. And Battle arguments totally depends on who you are battling.

I love this rp. You can essentially be anyone you want and are only limited by your imagination. Sure you will meet roadblocks but that just pushes you to be more creative and look at other ways to do things. If you are really up for it, try it out. Training may be frustrating because of the pace but if you dedicate yourself to it, things can go quite fast. I mean look at Moofy-san. He was deadset on mastering water and he did it (or was it wind? >.>) and in a short time span. (Month or two perhaps)

If you are planning on improving your writing skills then this is the place to do it. And it's not just battles if that's what people have you believe. There are many outlets for rp and just hanging out with people.

As for how well it can be, that is all up to you, you make your own roleplaying experience. Sure other members play a great role, but it is still up to you to make it the best experience that you can. To make the experience complete though, you really need friends by your side, either to keep you going or just to make your stay that much funner.

Sounds like how most RP places work though i have run into places where, even at end game, there wasnt much to 'do'. You ran out of things to achieve and there was none to little overarching plot to explore.

I ran into that a lot in MMORPGs. RP wise, that's when you begin to re-work what you want to do and explore new things or abilities, limiting yourself or changing up your fighting style, finding new ways to do things. Some of those things can propel your experience that much further. I mostly find myself just needlessly refreshing the user CP doing nothing productive but yeah.

Im a newbie to these forums and i was curious what the more veteran NBers thoughts are on the current state of RP on NB?

I have rp'd for many years but it was the Bleach setting and it was in a video game with the setting built to the bleach universe. Forum stuff is newish to me.

As for NBRP, it's good. I enjoyed my time here mainly because of the people I've met, tbh, and the allure of amassing more strength. You'll find it fun if you approach the RP with passion and dedication, particularly during the training stages, because I admit, training takes some time and you'd have to stick with it to fully enjoy the RP.

But beyond that, NB is addictive af so yeah..you'll have lots of fun.

I don't RP as anyone, I am a blank page that adjusts itself to the current situation at hand. As a matter of fact, I don't even remember my character's personality, I just use my own to reply to the situation at hand.

Its an old game called Neverwinter Nights, made in 2001. What keeps it alive despite its age and having long been abandoned by the company is its online community and toolset! Custom content always seems to keep games alive, and mixed with the toolset allowing you to build your own world, you can do whatever really.
