Kishimoto could have easily made this story enjoyable if he took the time to sit down and figure out what he wanted, instead he made a complete U-Turn for the MC, and the characters around him. It turned the story sour, and the main focus itself turned into Sasuke and his revenge. Sadly Kishimoto did not play his cards right, and he lost the game, badly.

Glad you like the idea, I was really expecting this. So you can understand my disappointment with the future arcs. Though, here's Indra hoping for some progress in the Gaiden lol.

Of course Evil Sasuke is the best kind of Sasuke.

I really like you. XD

I liked it overall, but that would leave loose such as what remain the rest of the Akatsuki, and Kabuto who was lurking around at that time.

Kishi should never bring back Orochimaru, like what happen in the war arc for example and instead I would make Kabuto to fullfill his role instead and make him remain as a villain. Also Tobi should never be Obito, it should've been someone like Tobidara, that would be much better.

Also the Hyuga deserve some spotlight, it has alot of potential but it was completely reduced to Pairing -_-

i think that ruining the friendship and making them enemies to each other would ruin and make the whole theme pointless however, you did say some interesting things.

I liked what you said about Tsunade dying and having sakura and Shizune take over the medical field and with her death coming the character developments of secondary characters.

I liked what you said about the Kage Summit and having all the shinobi there not lose to Sasuke's squad.

Overall, it is 10x a better ending than what Kishi made.

The biggest cause for story not being enjoyable is simply the weekly readings.

Every chapter would be over discussed

Every moment would be over discussed

Characters get overhyped/underhyped

Trolls

Then your opinion would change due to someone saying something

list keeps going on and on. I have friends who get excited off of the anime (they aren't on this site, and don't read the manga) , yet i don't anymore. You can't get excited from something that you discuss everyday, and especially some topics that are beaten to death.

Sakura: No matter what development Kishimoto would've given her, her state would still be the way it is right now as far as fanbases go. People still would've bandwagoned the hate. But out of this site, nobody really hates her that much.

The friendship theme was already ruined, though. Naruto held it barely, but it never felt realistic because of everything he went through because of Sasuke. I would make the central theme of friendship work in both ways, in which these two souls help each-other out in the end, so they BOTH understand eachother. Rather than have only one that is lost.

I liked it overall, but that would leave loose such as what remain the rest of the Akatsuki, and Kabuto who was lurking around at that time.

Exactly. I was thinking that after Pain destroyed the leaf, the remaining Hyuuga's would have no choice but to band together. In turn forcing Naruto to keep his promise in fixing the Hyuuga's, telling them that if they want to continue as residents here, they would need to make every Hyuuga equal. Which would allow Neji to become the Hyuuga clan leader, following Hinata at his side.

I really like you. XD
Thank you :hugg:

I like the fact he picked up the Hokage hat and said that, it was kinda poetic. And time skip was definitely needed.

Imo Sasuke should have fought and lose against Rinnegan Obito after the Danzo fight, it would give him the near death experience needed to meet Hagoromo and awaken the Rinnegan.

That would give him the chance to help Naruto defeat Obito and Madara with Naruto awakening RSM without Hagoromo's help and instead learning how to slowly draw out bijuu chakra whilst his own chakra blooms into Rikudou Senjutsu.

Definitely was not going the Hagoromo route in this story. In fact, I was going to cap them both at EMS(PS)/BM at best, even though I really hate their powers like that.

****. That's good. Naruto needed to step up and stop being a **** after all Sasuke had done. Like Hashi protecting the village and like Ashura, leading the people. Plus the hat bit is badass and intense af.

The unrequited friendship thing is overrated anyway :p
Felt like slapping Naruto with his childish behaviour sometimes. It was so forced and unrealistic. Sounds like a...like a proper story lel

Proper potential for all the right things/emotions. No alien bs.

What makes you think death is required for development.

And naruto attacking sasuke(or declaring to attack) like that undermines the madara/hashirama situation. Since that's exactly what hashirama did and kishimoto's trying to say that's not the way to go.

Because this is the shinobi world, and despite its fanatasy location, death is imminent. Note how during the Kakashi Gaiden chapters in the war, Minato himself killed countless shinobi singlehandily. Now we have Konohagakure who have all faced Gods - Have yet to die, or when they do, they get the Dragon Ball treatment.

The War Arc is the biggest example of this, with only few casualties I expected more to die. Way more.

Im sorry but you just throw the idea of Naruto that has been around for 15 years, straight to garbage and started for another cycle of hatred.
Sasuke is pure and easy get swayed by darkness as Itachi warned Naruto. He truly wants to bring Sasuke back to the right side because of what Sasuke did is not 100% his fault.

Again, death isn't necessary for development. Death isn't "imminent" when healers like tsunade is hyped to be capable of reversing affects of rds. Though I agree with you concerning war arc since its after all a "war".

3 days and only 1 significant death? While the other wars in the same universe lasted years? That's bs.

And you didn't address the other part.

Imagine if an atomic bomb for instance was dropped in your neighborhood, and everyone survived. At this point in time in the story, some of these characters were clearly undeveloped, and I doubt they were going to change willingly through Kishimoto. But if you take events from the story in which you can rewrite and improve them through a dramatic change. I feel as if that is an important development.

List your other concern, sorry about that ~

Shinra Tensei isn't the equivalent of an atomic bomb. According to nagato the weapon that he was making (and needed kurama for) was the "atomic bomb". The reason ppl survived s/t was like I said tsunade. And it's not like it hasn't been done b4. Minato used ftg barrier to stop a tbb the closest thing to a atomic bomb in the nv.

And naruto attacking sasuke(or declaring to attack) like that undermines the madara/hashirama parallel. Since that's exactly what hashirama did and kishimoto's trying to say that's not the way to go.

Exactly, but people still died the same. What actually killed Tsunade would be during after the events, when she is in a coma, she would sleep herself to death peacefully. That's the highest her character could of went in that Arc, leaving everything to Shizune and her student Sakura.

Naruto never declared an attack, he told Sasuke that he would not stand down if he continued his actions, Naruto is thinking like an Hokage, not as a friend.

I've been thinking about this - So I want to pick up the story to the moment when Naruto returns from stopping Pain, and everyone in the village came back to life in the exception of:

> Kakashi - Development for both Naruto/Sakura, mostly Sakura. It would push her to some kind of advancement in her character, similar to how Asuma's death changed Ino, Choji, and Shikimaru. Naruto who already lost Jiraiya, would of felt pain, but much like how he asked Tsunade about him earlier. He would of endured.

And what explanation would you give for leaving him out when everyone else was revived? Complaints of Jiraiya fans were annoying enough. You would add another disgruntled group demanding to bring him back and calling it a BS that only he doesn't get revived.

Naruto digested news of Kakashi's death calmly enough(' I see'- that's all he said when he learned of his supposed death). He didn't even mentioned his death when arguing with Nagato.

And remind me what he taught to Sakura to make her the ninja she was by the end and helped her develop as a character that his death will have that much impact on her?

Let's remind ourselves- Kakashi survived because he was holding on to half of the set of Obito's mangekyu. All his three students became above average ninjas only after they found another teacher for themselves and the result was his team was the last among all rookies to perfect it's teamwork. :p

> Chōza Akimichi - Great development for Choji. Nothing needed to be said here, you can already picture why I would want this for him. The lack of seriousness in his character, depth, and realism are what drop 'bombs' on the battlefield in terms of relating to these characters.

He isn't even that relevant to the story....it will only drag the manga ...

> Tsunade - Development for the Hidden Leaf, Naruto, Sakura, and Shizune. With her death Shizune would have to take her place as the Lead medic, and this would prepare Sakura early on so that it would hint most of her war arc techniques. With this for Naruto, it would bring him to a conclusion that with Kakashi, and Tsunade dead there were be no other person capable to run the village.
Tsunade said she couldn't die in a battle. Killing her in the pain war would be a plot hole.:p Besides we hadn't yet seen her fighting skills. U__U

> I'll update this list on the major deaths for other characters as-well, this is only a rough draft. I have some ideas for the Hyuuga's too.

Story:
With the people already at his side, they would begin to look up to him, but not as the savior. As a man. He would be stuck between the choice of leading his village, or retrieving Sasuke. However a man stood in his place who wanted the Hokage seat, far longer than he has. Despite bringing Pain down physically, Naruto still has not shown mentally that he is capable of putting all else aside, and leading this village.

Which in turn brings the Five Kage Summit Arc. I would completely disregard each and every disappointment to Naruto's character in which he got beat up by the Kumogakure shinobi for Sasuke, or when he bowed his head. Instead I replace it with him beating the Kumogakure shinobi, but holding back and telling them what they need to know, however as he did this he had to come to the conclusion that Sasuke was no longer his friend anymore. He had to be stopped.

Ah this part I would have liked lol. It was one of the most stupidly written part. It seemed like a scene written hastily just to keep going and make it to the deadline. That and Shikamaru's " genius" plan of killing Sasuke by themselves. Of all the people one would expect Shikamaru to be less of an idiot. Him underestimating Sasuke and his companions( Tobi of all people) at that point was kind of irritating.

It seemed like the writing team needed Sasuke and Naruto to confront before starting of war and they hastily figured out a plan. Frankly Kishi could use a few breaks now and then like other mangas do. His fatigue shows in his writing and art, from time to time very clearly.

With Naruto meeting Ay I would replace the entire scenery with Naruto coming into terms that he must bring down Sasuke. So in turn he would begin to ask Ay a favor, instead of begging for forgiveness, he would ask permission for him to stand down for a moment. So that he could showcase his talent and skill in bringing down Sasuke. Whether or not Ay grants him this permission is unclear for my story. It does not matter because Naruto would do what is needed.

I don't care about this part in the manga. It wouldn't be that bad either way if the previous part was written in a different way. Everything here was too Gandhian for my taste.

As the story progress it would be with Sakura going off to kill Sasuke, and Sasuke finishing off Danzo. This is where my story would end, but please understand why as I tell you this. As Naruto saves Sakura from . Naruto would turn around and face Sasuke, not as comrades, not as friends, but as enemies. Naruto would begin to warn Sasuke that if he did not stand down, he would be forced to eradicate him from the Shinobi world. Which in turn would shock Sakura whom had put a level of trust in Naruto for bringing Sasuke back.

The scene would end without any violence, it is not needed. It would end with Sasuke at Obito's side, and Naruto walking up to the corpse of Danzo (or Tree) and picking up the Hokage hat. He would clearly state to both Obito, and Sasuke before they teleport: "I will not stop you as your friend, nor will I stop you as a shinobi" - Naruto would begin to place the hat on his head - "I will stop you as a Hokage, if you so dare to bring harm to my village, my people. I will have no choice but to put you down, Sasuke."

Sasuke would be affected by those words, but not in shock. He would take this as a sign of challenge. Signifying their "ancestral" bond in which Yin/Yang, Light/Dark, etc., never stop fighting.

On that note I would have had the series end with a time skip, a few years into the future with Naruto as Hokage, and Sasuke whom left with Obito being trained by the mysterious hooded man who had yet to be named Obito (and probably never will in my story).

Well what do you think? Note that the story itself is not over, but would be the ending of Shippuden. Which would lead to the third part.

You can write a Fanfiction you know. We have a fan fiction section too. If you can draw too then go for a Naruto Doujinshi if you feel like it. It's fun, at times, to read alternate stories. Long series are bound to have their highs an lows and sequences that many don't like.

Mainly because Kakashi met his father, talked with him, and he found peace. If I had the choice I would of offed him off, in the sense of Kakashi passing on his will to his students.

And remind me what he taught to Sakura to make her the ninja she was by the end and helped her develop as a character that his death will have that much impact on her?
They barely have a bond like that, but his death would of impacted her character all the same. At least in the sense to throw the game into a more serious mindset. After the Pain Battle, it felt like everything went back to normal in a second.

He isn't even that relevant to the story....it will only drag the manga ...
Choji was shining in the Arc with Choza and Kakashi, if he had died there I don't think the manga would have been "dragged" - I see it more on the lines of it being realistic. There is a threat, and he will kill you.

It was still a flaw in his Character through, which is why I brought it up in the story because it reflects how much he truly cared for Sasuke. Still though I hated every second of its portrayal.

I'll think about it. I'm more interested in Part 3 as it is, but I'll look into it another time. Thanks for the suggestion.

Throws the whole friendship thing in the gutter dontchya think

Naruto isn't as bad as it's peers when it comes to that, the bonds thing was at least given a more mature context with Madara and Hashirama's backstory unlike One Piece which is just love friendship happiness family wheee

This story is about darkness that can be saved by enough of love and forgive.

Not at all, it's way more complicated than that. Getting over grudges and forgiving people is part of it, but there's a ton more. You think the whole theme of the Uchiha Genocide was "love and forgive"? The whole point was that Itachi's clan was unreasonable and clung to little things like their clan and nepotism so they needed to be put down. Just because Naruto's various foils were able to change their ways doesn't mean that's the entire message, none of them decided to give up their crazy plans because of "love and forgive" anyway. Was Kaguya loved and forgiven? No. Sasuke had to accept Naruto's path in the end, Naruto humbled him and made him see the true value of bonds, it was well done and actually made sense, but there was way more to it than that and if you can't see it you should re-read the manga. I could pull up tons of really thought provoking quotes from characters like Itachi and Orochimaru that have nothing to do with love and forgiveness.
