How does everyone think Hashirama died?

This guy managed to beat EMS madara with Kyuubi inside a perfect susanoo armour, his strength must have been enough to single handedly take on whole villages, so how the **** did he die?

Yeah but if he was that strong, why would he need to sacrifice himself, look at Pain, pain was enough to bring Konoha to its knees, what Army made it so that Hashirama couldn't just wipe his arse on them.

Personally I think it will be something stupid like illness.

I think he may have pulled a minato TBH... Mito was probably killed for madara to get kyuubi. When madara was 'dead' to seal the kyuubi again he probably used some sealing jutsu of the time that kills you since that was the best method at the time.

OR... He killed himself for some other reason. I think he Solo'd himself like nagato, minato, itachi, and all those other strong chars...
