I feel like she's just around for Luffy to fall in love with later at this point. The LuNa fanbase is huge so people would be pissed if she died off. Other than that, she's kind of useless besides being the navigator

Her character developement is one of the most tragic and heartwarming in this story. She is actually a female in manga that decided not to cry over being weak and stayed strong ever since then.

I hate to break it to the LuNa fans, but there will be no romance amongst any members of the straw hat pirates. Oda said so, google it.
That aside, I like Nami. She's beautiful, intelligent, and has a strong heart. She's also got self-respect, something she shares with other shonen females. That is how women should be.
She's pretty violent though. However, unlike with Sakura, who is like an orange-hypnotized bull when it comes to hitting her allies, nami doesn't discriminate. She has hit Zoro sanji AND luffy as far as I remember.
She is useful both on and off the battlefield. Her instincts as a navigator have spared the crew from cyclones. During the alabasta arc, she was willing to sacrifice "a foot or two or three" to help vivi and even beat mr. 1's partner.
Even though she's greedy with money, she'll quickly lose interest in it of one of her freinds is Hurt (like Usopp durring the water 7 arc). She was also willing to spend it all in order to rescue Caimie.
She's invaluable to the crew. Without her, who knows what would happen.
So as for me I say hurray for nami!

She's super annoying for me. I find it weird how people find her hot though, seeing how pretty much every female character has the same body. Oda really should work on that.
And personally I would ave enjoyed it more if Oda would have actually had relationships in the crew like how it would really happen. Instead we have these constant nosebleeds from Sanji, who no ones cares about. Like in DB, Bulma and Yamcha were in one, then they broke up and she married Vegeta. And even in Naruto, the equations are actually pretty good, Sakura likes Sasuke and Naruto likes her but over time it's become more respect than a crush, as of late. Oda has shied away from this and kept things simple. Maybe that would have just made the manga longer though.,
