How come naruto still needs a clone to do the Rasengan?

How come Naruto still needs a clone to do the Rasengan?
He master the Sage-Mode something that not even Jiraiya could do.
Jiraiya could make a Rasengan with one hand with no problems.
Does Naruto really surpass hes Master? :shrug:

He is wasting chakra and time making clones every time he makes one.

I know what u mean. Naruto haven't really have time to training on hes new techniques. Is like he need to learn a new thing in such lil time always.

But the Rasengan was something he learn before the years he spend with Jiraya training. I thought that he was gonna master it by the time he was back on the Village.

He has to have a Clone to perform it. While Naruto is incredible powerful, it has been stated he has terrible chakra control and thus must have a clone help out. each one focuses on part of the job. now while in the nine-tails mode he does sorta do it with one hand, however he summons chakra hands to help out. which is just like a clone.

you are incorret on jiraiya mastering sage mode. he did not. It was explained that the reason why jiraiya was seen with frog features was because he could not master Senjutsu and become a true sage. naruto has been the only human to do it to date.

I use to say the same ting but then I began to understand

-yea he could do it- but it would probably take longer fro him to do where as he can instandtly make a clone and do it faster , and the excess chakara that was waisted on the clone is like nothing to him, and if anything the extra clone can be used as a distaratction while he's tying to land his rasengan.

cuz i doubt he can make a clone after he forms a rasengan

The frog tell's naruto here that not even his master could fully mastered.
He could be in Sage Mode just not as Naruto was. He really mastered.

I think it has became a habit to him. Or he just hasn't got the time to learn it without the clones. And even so. He has become quite efficient with his clone cooking recipe as they do it quite fast (As seen against Sasuke, latest spar).

I still think it's more of a habit.

Naruto does it cause it allows him to concentrate on the different pats of the rasengan so as to make it more powerful, eg the original pumps in the raw chakra, the clone concentrates on keeping the form and rotation and the other puts in the nature manipulation(if needed)

I also believe its a habit too.. But saying he does not have the time to master it, that I don't agree with you. 2 reasons
1) he has been making rasengan sense he was small that should have given him more than enough time to master it whether poor chakra or not
2) Fighting sasuke when they where small he didn't need a clone to make a rasengan. But now in 9tailed mode he still needs more hands
3) Bee said its all in his heard, that's why he can't make his jutsu without a clone

If I'm not mistaken, Naruto did his Futon: Rasengan with a single hand when he used the combination attack with Yamato.

It's not a matter of mastery, it's a matter of preference. Naruto does it because that's how he learned it. Most likely it's just comfortable and out of habit that he does it that way.

It's not like it's ever cost him anything
