How come naruto still needs a clone to do the Rasengan?

If I'm not mistaken, Naruto did his Futon: Rasengan with a single hand when he used the combination attack with Yamato.

It's not a matter of mastery, it's a matter of preference. Naruto does it because that's how he learned it. Most likely it's just comfortable and out of habit that he does it that way.

It's not like it's ever cost him anything
When did he did this combination attack with Yamato? :confused:

People stop chatting your rubbish naruto cant use rasengan without clone because he has very little chakra control, he can only do it when he is in Sage mode and Rikudou Sennin mode. And there's your answer. ;)

It has been stated through out the series that Naruto has very poor chakra controll :/

But I'm pretty sure that by the end of the series he'll be able to it with one hand.

Also what rikerslade said is true, it's partially the fox's fault.
