When a fight is interrupted the one with less injuries is declared the winner. I for one think if Sasuke had came out of the fight without an arm people would make fun of him forever, if Raikage only had some bruises.
If you wanna go what would have happened after the clash, Raikage was hiding behind a pillar while Sasuke fought other super powerful guys like Gaara (another kage) and Darui with the Big Susanoo and C suggested them to retreat. If it was Sasuke receiving healing at this point people would say he had lost.
Fact is, Raikage could have continued his fight with Sasuke even after Gaara interrupted yet he knew it wasnt wise, which means they all ganged up on him later.
The only thing people have is during the clash and I just don't see Sasuke dying with just 1 blow whereas a previous one merely bruised him, and this time he also had defense. Hell, he had even more defense. He had susanoo and Enton spikes.
Susanoo ribs were broken but the aura still protects him, reason why he wasn't burned by Mizukage's initial lava.
And Enton is a jutsu apart from Amaterasu, or it wouldn't have another name, and the databook states it.
So basically Raikage would have his leg on a stick to fall on Susanoo which would result in Sasuke having little to no injury.
Then with just 1 leg, Raikage wouldn't be able to avoid Sasuke's Big Susanoo and would have died atleast without Darui's help.
Bee stated Raikage is lefthanded, which is the arm he lost, so esentially in fighting Sasuke, and being a straight taijutsu fighter he lost a lot. Is like a boxer losing his best arm.
TBH I don't see why people say that that clash would have done both of em in. It was just another one. Sasuke was still protected, and A wouldnt have died. Losing his arm didnt seem to bother him physically that much, but hed be unable to dodge Susanoo without a leg.
I then think that Darui + Raikage could have beaten Sasuke, but Raikage by himself? Nah.
Raikage used the Raiga Bomb on Sasuke which no one has ever survived and what saved Sasuke was his Sasuno. Sasuno's ribs were broken after that however..

A's kick is over-rated. His Raiga bomb didnt kill anybody, and his kick was stopped by Gaara's sand.
Gaara's defense that was said ultimate was his Shikaku shield he used on Kimmimaro. Or much more amount of sand like againts C3 where he used a whole village worth of sand. He only used a small portion to block A's little kick.

Sasuno barely protected Sasuke. Sasuke was hit with 100% chance instant kill attack. Sasuno was damage taking the hit for him and Raikage was very confident going in for the attack even after Sasuke used Amaterasu. He could have pulled back but continued after seeing Amaterasu was protecting Sasuke. And he was confident in his Leg Drop also..

Sasuke was worned out after that fight even so that Madara had to save him and make Karin heal him. if the fight lasted longer Sasuke would have died no doubt from Raikage. yes Raikage would have been severly injured, likely lost a leg, but Sasuke would have died. you talk about him using his MS jutsus like they dont invertly majorly hurt Sasuke himself..

the way i put it is humorous but seriously Sasuke was up agaisnt the ropes. he used Amaterasu offensively and failed. Raikage dodges it like nothing. than he tries to use it defensively and force Raikage to retract his attack but that also fails. Raikage does not pull back and he tells him not to underestimate him.. Raikage did not jump Sasuke. Sasuke had Jugo and Suigetsu helping him and Raikage had Darui and Shi. but eventually it came down to 1 on 1. Gaara interupted agaisnt Raikages wishes. Raikage was pissed that he did. but he used that moment to heal himself but nonetheless he was more than anxious to get back to fighting Sasuke..
how can you decide who lost when the fight was interupted? if anything Sasuke lost because Gaara sand protect Sasuke from the Guillinetine Drop. yes Sasuke was planning to do damage himself but Sasuke was on the defensive.. its like in a MMA fight fighter A ground and punds fighter B while hes on the floor and the Ref just jumps in to stop fighter A from continueing the attack. who would lose in that circumstance? even if fighter A had the most damage and looked the most busted, if the ref had to stop him who would win?

sasuke lost and if that leg drop would have gone through, it would have gone straight through sasuke's body, he was in his lightning armor still so that plus raikage's taijutsu prowess hes been able to break thru susanoo ribs which is all sasuke had up at the time so that wasn't helping, and amaterasu (or any fire) doesn't stop attacks, it makes you pay by burning you if you decide to attack, if A hadn't been pissed off over thinking sasuke abducting and had his little brother killed i doubt he'd have punched straight thru amaterasu fire (and then never been injured)

Sasuke put himself in a win win situation where if Raikage attacked him hed pay the consequences and thats what happened. Since A didn't have any other way to hurt Sasuke than sacrificing his arm then I don't see why do you say it was optional. It wasn't. Has A againts Hachibi, Zetsu clone, or Sasuke shown anything else than brute strength. Its obvious hes just a strict taijutsu fighter, like Guy. If he had anything else and didn't use it he was just being a total moron and i'd be his fault because if he had anything else that would get the job done even if it took a few more secs he would have.

Dude Sasuke managed to use Enton againts Gaara, Big Susanoo againts Gaara and Darui, and Susanoo ribs which even tanked Mei's acid. Of course that would have being enough to defeat Raikage.
They have different fighting styles. Sasuke's fighting style at the time involved jutsus which had a cost to him, just like Itachi, but they were so strong they would have killed Raikage eventually, and Raikage had to lose an arm to get through one, would lose another to get through another and would eventually be murdered.
Regardless in the long run it wouldnt even matter as he was able to attain EMS which I think he knew he'd get anyway. He managed to use 8 MS in the summit along with other jutsus so I think they werent as bad as you make it sound.

I don't understand this part at all. Sasuke needs MS to compete with A. A needs to sacrifice limbs to compete with MS, which is worst? The both have different fighting styles. Bee needs a tailed beast to compete with A, etc. What does it matter?

He cut his arm off because it was in unextingashiable flames which would never go off and were hurting him, and might even spread to other parts of his body. When an arm doesn't work any more, they get amputated. Just in case...

duh bright one, i said episode meaning the show not the manga. When watching the episodes it tends to show it in more depth and gives us e better perspective of how things play out.

this guy is right. sasuke got one good hit on raikage and that good hit got himself planted into the ground.
you lot say raikage had no way to fight sasuke after he used amaterasu on his susanoo but he could have just let sasuke waste his chakra.

He was willing to sacrifice his limbs to even remotely hurt Sasuke which is what he did. You act like he definetely would have killed Sasuke just because he was confident when I can name tons of opponents confident who would have won who lost.
Sasuke wasnt remotely hurt. He was hurt.. Raikage willingly sacrificed his arm because he wanted to punch Sasuke in the face. could he have attacked more wisely? yes. but he didnt. he wanted to make a statement. and that statement was "I'm not stopping my fist from punching yo face just because of some stupid black flames"...
Examples:
1. Danzou thought he could kill Sasuke and Tobi, he lost to one of them.
2. Kakashi thought he could kill Tobi.
3. Orochimaru thought he could take Itachi out the second time they fought.
And these are all experienced and intelligent shinobis not like the hot headed Raikage brute which all he managed to do in that fight was lose his best hand.
i am not saying nor had i ever said confidence wins fights. my point was Raikage had confidence in his attacks and was determined to finish off Sasuke with them.
reason i said that cuz you went on about how Raikage lost his arm to Sasuke which he didnt. Raikage sacrificed his own arm on his on accord. he didnt have to hit Sasuke but he chose to. he could have attacked differently but he chose not to.
btw its being "hot headed" is what makes Raikage so strong. and you keep making Raikage losing his arm like he didnt chose to do it purposely. Raikage sacrificed it just to punch Sasuke. im going to keep repeating it until you get it right...

When Sasuke gets healed they say he lost, and when A gets healed is fine. Double standards. I don't recall Raikage telling him not to get in his way BTW.
no i wouldnt say that at all.. matter fact Sasuke was the one who multiple times almost died when fighting Killer Bee. Sasuke had to be healed not once but twice! during that fight... but in the end Sasuke summited KB to his amaterasu and forced KB to escape the fight. who would you say won that fight? Sasuke who lost a chunk of his chest, near death multiple times and had to be saved and healed by Jugo and Karin, oh and Sasuke had his whole team jump KB.. or would you say KB lost because in the end he was taken down in his tailed beast form by Sasuke's MS??
i dont believe if you get healed you lose.. thats a stupid concept and you are the one who believes in it.. like i said even in a boxing match fighters take a break to heal minor wounds... the one who took the most injury can still win the fight...
fights are not measured who took the most damaged (unless on the streets) its deemed by who was most aggressive, landed most hits, best techniques etc.. do you box or MMA at all man cuz if not than you just wont understand this concept...
Sasuke put himself in a win win situation where if Raikage attacked him hed pay the consequences and thats what happened. Since A didn't have any other way to hurt Sasuke than sacrificing his arm then I don't see why do you say it was optional. It wasn't. Has A againts Hachibi, Zetsu clone, or Sasuke shown anything else than brute strength. Its obvious hes just a strict taijutsu fighter, like Guy. If he had anything else and didn't use it he was just being a total moron and i'd be his fault because if he had anything else that would get the job done even if it took a few more secs he would have.
Again. You speak as if it was optional when it wasn't. A lost his arm to Sasuke's jutsu and he hit in knowingly but because he didnt have any other way to hurt Sasuke so indeed is not like you say.
Sasuke put himself in a defensive situation because he was not beating Raikage offensively.. being defensive didnt even help him cuz Raikage came even harder with the attacks...
you make Sasuke sound like a beast fighting agaisnt the Kages when in fact he was getting his butt beat! Raikage smacking him up and all the other kages eventually fighting him, Sasuke was on the defensive through out the whole ordeal. he failed to be able to use Amaterasu offensively agaisnt Raikage and Gaara, and used Sasuno defensively agaisnt Raiakage to save his dear life and even used Sasuno to escape Raikage..
btw if your in the middle of a fight and you just up and run away....... do you honestly think you won that fight??

Dude Sasuke managed to use Enton againts Gaara, Big Susanoo againts Gaara and Darui, and Susanoo ribs which even tanked Mei's acid. Of course that would have being enough to defeat Raikage.
correction... Sasuke used Amaterasu to attack Gaara and Gaara deflected it like nothing.. failed attempt..
Sasuno was used by Sasuke to againt defend himself and escape.. like a b*tch..

They have different fighting styles. Sasuke's fighting style at the time involved jutsus which had a cost to him, just like Itachi, but they were so strong they would have killed Raikage eventually, and Raikage had to lose an arm to get through one, would lose another to get through another and would eventually be murdered.
wrong... eventually Raikage would have murdered Sasuke... Raikage had chakra of that of tailed beasts.. his Raiton Armor increased his strength, speed, agility, reaction and defense. Raikage had the stamina and ability to fight for days and he was not showing any sign of slowing down! Sasuke however proved that he was at his limits when after defending against Gaara, Mifune, Mei and Onoiki and than had to have his butt saved by Madara..
and also Raikage was soo determined to continue fighting Sasuke that he even attacked Madara to get to him.. he demanded that Madara let him go so he could finish whooping his arse..
Regardless in the long run it wouldnt even matter as he was able to attain EMS which I think he knew he'd get anyway. He managed to use 8 MS in the summit along with other jutsus so I think they werent as bad as you make it sound.
in the long run you talking about 50 chapters later ma dude.. he was only able to obtain EMS with Madaras help and he never even wanted EMS until he was challenged by Naruto.. but anyways this is all irrevelant because we are talking about Sasuke fighting Raikage... not Sasuke getting EMS..
so in the long run - we are not talking about that... agaisnt Raikage, Sasuke had no EMS and his MS techiniques was taking a huge toll on him during the fight...
Yeah againts Danzo. You say if he was healed he lost yet dont apply it to A. Im not saying Sasuke could have beaten A and then beaten Danzo. Never said that. I said it took alot more than just A to shut down his light which another posted noted.

only reason Gaara attacked is because Sasuke refused to surrender
only reason Mei attacked is because Sasuke was affiliated with Akatsuki, who had connection to controlling the 4th Mizukage.
only reason why Onoiki attacked is because he specifically said "the whole world wants to get rid of you so i guess i have to attack you" (something like that)..

I don't understand this part at all. Sasuke needs MS to compete with A. A needs to sacrifice limbs to compete with MS, which is worst? The both have different fighting styles. Bee needs a tailed beast to compete with A, etc. What does it matter?

He cut his arm off because it was in unextingashiable flames which would never go off and were hurting him, and might even spread to other parts of his body. When an arm doesn't work any more, they get amputated. Just in case...

biggest thing that your missing is that Raikage ordered Shi to heal him quickly so he could get back to attacking Sasuke...
Proof it. Cause Sasuke fought Gaara and Darui while Raikage was being healed from losing an arm and would have lost a leg if Gaara hadn't appeared.

you lot say raikage had no way to fight sasuke after he used amaterasu on his susanoo but he could have just let sasuke waste his chakra.
raikage was fast enough to dodge amaterasu which is sasukes offensive trump card.
he could of just left sasuke to his defences and then killed him easily afterwards.
sasuke couldnt beat raikage, even after raikage sacrificed his arm to get a good hit on sasuke he would have been able to beat sasuke. the only thing is would that leg drop have been strong enough to go through that blaze attack?
well seeing that raikage was able to punch a big hole through sasukes "ultimate" defence i believe he would have killed sasuke.
duh bright one, i said episode meaning the show not the manga. When watching the episodes it tends to show it in more depth and gives us e better perspective of how things play out.
Let's look at the facts.

So, Raikage bitchslaps Sasuke and puts him to his place, and his place is right under a guillotine. Sasuke tries to defend against a guillotine with intangible flames. Leg goes right through the flames, the flames go around raikages leg, leg hits Sasukes face, and cracks his skull open, Amaterasu flames spread on sasukes face. Nuff said.
Do an experiment:
Get a hammer
A paper
Some matches or a lighter
an egg
Some flammable liquid
Heres what you do: Place the egg on the ground. Place the paper on the egg. Take the flammable liquid and pour it on the hammer. Light the paper on fire, and wait till its all burning. Drop the hammer on the egg.
What happens? Well, the hammer is on fire, but the egg is squashed.
Well, there we have it.
Raikages punch went through Juugos thick shield that he made, and went straight through his chest. And Juugos skin is really thick as well because of his 2nd curse seal form. A punch is able to do that much damage, how much damage would an ultimate move like a leg drops to the face do then?
