Hashi is the only one that can defeat madara because hes fought him many times, of course he knows his weaknesses and knows how to fight him. Common sense.

hiruzen is on a completely different level than anyone else. when he faced the kage with old age he still countered each attack effectively when they landed physical attacks he placed explosive tags on them which would have killed tobirama and according to the manga now hashi could have healed. realizing continueing to fight would be completely futile he used the ultimate jutsu death god to create a stalemate.

no one could have won this fight kage level edo's with space/time, mokuton, edo tensi, and oro with his massive amounts of jutsu and being trapped in a barrier.


you're all idoits if you cant understand the power and wits that requires obviously the kage arent going to use huge jutsu in a small area they simply couldnt win

All hype aside, now seeing what Hashirama had to go up against in Madara I have a hard time believing Hiruzen is that high up on the pyramid. Madara hands down is obviously a much tougher opponent for anyone in comparison to Hiruzen (prime or not) in my personal opinion, and the fact that Hashirama had to subdue Kurama in the midst of all this chaos is just the icing on the cake. It doesn't matter how much knowledge you have, sometimes raw power is all you need, and even then it's not like Hashirama was an idiot herp derp.

Tsunade has seen hiruzens prime and was still shocked to see this level of power from madara, shocked that somebody could beat this alone.
If she has seen that much strength, she would not have been shocked like that. U_U

Lol where did she see this strength exactly? Hashirama died very young, you think his granddaughter would have been at the battlefield at the time he died? Lol, she was six when she graduated the academy and and became Hiruzen's student, Hashirama was long dead by then, heck Hiruzen was way younger when Tobirama died, he was not even Tsunade's sensei when Tobirama died, how much more when Hashirama died?

There is physically and mathematically no possible way that she saw him do battle.

What do I mean by, "now seeing what Hashirama had go up against in Madara". Well, If you go back to the beginning since Madara was let out of the coffin to right now you'll notice he's been using MS techniques practically half the time. If he really wanted to Madara could have killed the 5 kages without the Rinnegan, that alone should tell you that Hashirama is really on a whole other level.

To perform the death god seal, you would have to catch them first. Seeing as how hashimcan create entire Forrest and use the flower tree work, and that tobirama can use S/t jutsu I have a hard time believing that Hiru could actually even get close to them

Instead the words used are "is called" or "described" or "respected as" or "was said to be". People exaggerate their heros. Just because Tiger Woods is called the best golfer of all time, does that make him the best? No. Their are many people who are arguably better than him. Madara did state that the only thing that has the destrution power of his Susanoo is a bijuu Hence why hashirama is the only person capable of beating Madara sense his the only one that is able to control them...

If u re read the manga you'll see when he only used EMS he got counter but when he used the rin... or Mokuton it took out alot more out of the kages in fact all his big attacks that i remember have been Mookuton and or Rin..

and if it wasn't for the Rinnegan he would have gotten hit by the wind rasengan can't post links yet so i'll just tell u when chapter 560 page 13 and this was b4 he was facing the 5 kages

Tsunade has seen hiruzens prime, was his student and knows her master's fighting since they were at war times.
The latest chapter shows that even though she knew hiruzen, she is so shocked as how hashirama could fight against madara.

This shows that hashirama > hiruzen because she would not have been shocked like this

This is funny how Hiruzen haters try to make him less than Hashirama every single time something dumb comes out in the manga. Everyone wanted Hashirama's power for the special abilities it gives to whoever can control it. The fact that Kishi wrote that Hiruzen was the strongest Hokage should be enough for everyone to stop this endless and useless debate. Hiruzen is stronger by knowledge and abilities. I have wrote all the reasons why before. I can't wait for Kishi to make a Hiruzen flashback.
