1.I doubt Kishi intended to make Hashi this hella strong back then.
2.Perhaps Hiruzen already knew what to do (using the what seal I don't remember but it was to seal Hashi + Tobirama's souls),not because he bet he can defeat them all. Only to seal them away,together with his own soul. I don't count someone who died together with his foes as stronger than his foes.

kishi doesnt think 500 chapters ahead. at the time hashirama was too irrelevant to get a huge moveset and ultra long duel with hiruzen. the real fight in that arc was naruto and gaara. flower world was something he thought up later for madaras moveset.

I am not taking Sarutobi's part, i am neutral when it comes to these guys, but if they have been stated to be the top tiers, well maybe's for something, don't u think?

Don't you read the manga kabuto stated that hashirama powers is considered like the sage of the six path a myth and madara hiself said only hashirama senju can defeat him now and you are saying hiruzen could have beaten hashi that is laughable.

So do we trust the 3rd who was trained by the 1st and the 2nd in his life. and probably saw madara as well. or do we trust a antagonistic liar. It has been said the 3rd was the stronger the previous kages.

You cant use sasuke:flaw:. he is a proven idiot he had no idea what the other kages were capable of. While Hiruzen taught oro and was the student of the 1st and 2nd. He known all of there powers before hand and he should have known how the edo tensei worked as well. so your point is stupid at best.
