That's not your definition at all. You posted about the work being canon based on whether or not the author worked on it from start to finish with his own hands.
That definition says any authentic works of writer. Basically any real projects of such said artist/writer/what-ever.
Plus you realize that by your understanding this Bolt Manga isn't even canon. Despite Kishimoto himself stating in an interview that he confirms it being just as canon as the original Naruto story line, lol.
Yeah, that's basically my definition, only with different words. I said canon= made by the original author; this definition from webster defines canon = authentic work by the original author. Look at my first post about it.
Authentic works from a writter = works autentically made by him, not by other writters.
And yes, by this definition Boruto is canon because Kishimoto actually wrote it, not someone else.
