That's not your definition at all. You posted about the work being canon based on whether or not the author worked on it from start to finish with his own hands.

That definition says any authentic works of writer. Basically any real projects of such said artist/writer/what-ever.

Plus you realize that by your understanding this Bolt Manga isn't even canon. Despite Kishimoto himself stating in an interview that he confirms it being just as canon as the original Naruto story line, lol.

Yeah, that's basically my definition, only with different words. I said canon= made by the original author; this definition from webster defines canon = authentic work by the original author. Look at my first post about it.

Authentic works from a writter = works autentically made by him, not by other writters.

And yes, by this definition Boruto is canon because Kishimoto actually wrote it, not someone else.

Also, just as Webster, Cambridge Dictionary also defines canon as 'as a writring (work) by the original author'. :lol

I can't it's too much :lmao:

Canon in Naruto refers to what was stated to take place in story-line. There's no need to elaborate on that.

Ikemoto is recreating the Novel version of the Movie, which isn't what Kishimoto wrote.

The Last and Boruto Movie are on the same page, but according to the twisted logic, aren't canon.

Can anyone explain to me why Hinata's last name is Uzumaki, as well as her kids? Shouldn't she remain Hyuga, and shouldn't her kids be Hyugas?
Hinata full Name is Hinata Hyuga Uzumaki Wife of Naruto Uzumaki. Boruto Uzumaki and Himawari Uzumaki. The Uzumaki Clan that negotiated between the Senju and Uchiha to help created Konoha and bank role the creation of Konoha sines they had their own village for many years. Plus its the normal costume for the Wife to join the Husband Clan. Did not your Mother take on your Father's family Name?

Boruto Movie is canon because Kishi wrote it. Naruto Next Generations manga is canon because Kishi passed on the torch to somebody else to continue his work.

The Last doesn't fit in any of these circumstances. It was just a pairing filler movie to milk money out of the franchise.

Where? The Cambridge definition doesn't even twist with the logic of the matter.

Boruto Movie is canon because Kishi wrote it. Naruto Next Generations manga is canon because Kishi passed on the torch to somebody else to continue his work.

The Last doesn't fit in any of these circumstances. It was just a pairing filler movie to milk money out of the franchise.
:|

Except the fact like the Boruto Movie and Boruto Manga it was stated to be canon and in the Canon time line. Not to mention Kishimoto, like the Boruto Manga, supervises it.

You just said canon is defined by the legitmacy of the author writing it, but now it's okay because kishi passed the torch? :lol

Honestly Vulpini I don't even know why I dragged it this far, I don't even care about the canon debate.

What I was trying to show you is that by your definition, the only thing canon is anything that Kishimoto worked on from scratch. His ideas.

The Last is according to this belief, not canon. Due to Kishimoto not making it from scratch.

However it's not just the Last. Again by the definition, anything created by the author is canon, however, the Manga is portrayed from the non-canon version of the film in word form. The Novel. Now if I asked you which was canon, the Movie or the Novel, which would you say?

Going back I said that the Manga is in league with the Movie due to neither of them being based on work from the author itself. SP wanted the Last, and Ikemoto made the Novel from his own beliefs.

So why is the Boruto Manga (to you) canon if they follow the same principle? Especially with Kishimoto only supervising them. The flash forward is Ukyo too based on the fact that he is writing the story. Shouldn't you at least judge it by your definitions and logic? Wouldn't that be fair?

The Last wasn't written by Kishi, nor drawed by him. It is just as canon as the novels. No matter what NaruHina pairingtards think, that movie isn't canon..

Manga creator Masashi Kishimoto is credited with the original story, character designs, and chief story supervisor of the film. In particular, he is drawing new designs for the title character in the movie.

The Last was declared by Kishimoto himself as chapter 699.5 and thus is directly part of his continuity. What is canon is something defined as officially part of the author's world, or written by the author. The Last was directly called canon and stated to be officially part of the Naruto world thus it is canon, and if that's not enough for you Kishimoto wrote the original storyline and was chief supervisor for the whole film and edited the scripts (he didn't do this for Road to Ninja, and that film was never stated to be officially part of the world). Both The Last and Boruto are canon films and are legitimate works within the continuity.

i see the what is canon issue is strong as ever. Why dont we just enjoy everything?
atthe end of the day, it is a personal thing to consider what is canon or not, people accept things that they learn to appreciate and shun everything they haven't. What comes in the way are the reasons, reasonable or not, that make them hard to be accepted.

That's all fair and fine but we don't get to personally decide what is canon or not within ANY continuity. Canon is defined by an author and we must ACCEPT this. Just because we don't like something doesn't mean we get to say its just "filler" unless it IS filler. This is no different to Dragon Ball Super, people fought and still fight over its continuity despite it having been declared canon; yet it is and we have to suck it up.

I personally agree that we should just enjoy things (but only to a point, I wouldn't wish anyone to enjoy shit).

well, i live by a point that sure something is declared as canon, others are not. People disagree. Despite that, I dont argue and win over people who disagree and convince them, enforce them what I believe in. That is why I pointed out that accepting something as canon or not is left on the person on case. And that isnt a happy place. it is conflcting, complex, chaotic.

I can understand that, but it is the mere idea of people disagreeing that shouldn't be the case. We haven't written this or that Manga thus we don't get to say that those who actually wrote that world are wrong. To me it isn't about winning over someone as there isn't a need to prove what I'm saying is correct, if there's official statements by an author than we have to follow suit even if we don't like it. This is how it works, we don't define someone's work, they define it.

so why do people still have disagreements? That is the flaw in the whole situation. It is not wrong to think otherwise that it is because of not particularly liking some aspect of the "canon" work.

Again, I choose to spare myself from mental fatigue (and fingers too) and not dwell on arguing with the likes of those disagreeing people. They have to learn to accept eventually, or not ever. I dont care. I have my convictions

This should be read by Filler lovers also. Kishi never said to at least supervised current filler episodes and its developments before

Vulpini is intentionally denying the truth in order to bash Hinata.

Cant be help. He cant win over the truth.
