why is that a minor character like hinata(albiet a astounding one) is given so much respect?

nvm about my quesiton i was reminded by a friend that kishi said Hinat would make the better heroine in Naruto

Mind you Erza scarlett>Nami>>>>>>>>>>>>Hinata i am not stupid. Scarlet and nami are so welldeveloped its not even funny and Hinata while she has IMO the most development for a female in Naruto she still pales hilariously to the wonders that are Erza and Nami.

still to people who don't knwo much about the series and love characters who live a life of self-sacrifice hinata is a good choice and the best choice if you have to pic one female to represent the narutoverse. when she fought pain, pushed the juubi's attack back on itself. saved narutos life twice(thrice if you count the speech leading to the hand holding scene) cheered him up during the chuunin exam. and fougth insanely well during the pain invasion. she has alot of feat for a side character with only 20-odd appearences in the manga.

Probably because of the Pain arc, that's when people started to come around to liking her. Also, AMV usually hype a character up, it's a fan dedicating an AMV to a character, of course a character like Hinata would end up getting compared to main heroines like Erza
