What Naruto said in the filler is exactly how Hinata feels about him and it killed me to hear him say that. Not to mention that Hinata does shit for Naruto like, idk, jumping in front of one of the most dangerous shinobi in existance, in order to protect him. Not to mention she confesses to him too. Sakura gives him a bs confession of love and he still has the clouds in his face to say something like that (in the last ep) about her...
What gets me is that after several chapters after Hinata's confession they haven't said anything about it in the manga yet. The closest thing to actually mentioning it was when Naruto defended Hinata from the Zetsu. But they can go off in a filler out of nowhere and Naruto can talk about how he loves Sakura, just completly ignoring Hinata's feelings. They do this a few chapters after they show Hinata practically begging to go on a mission to see Naruto.
*sigh* anyway I hope that Sakura dies in the series at some point. I don't mean this because I hate Sakura, I don't hate her. I see Sakura's roll as still several miles behind where she ought to be and she's weak in her emotions for Naruto and Sasuke to the point she can't do anything but let Naruto and Sasuke go at each other until they kill each other. Sakura's roll is to grow up and I believe she will realize that and actually do so if she sacrifices herself on behalf of Naruto and Sasuke. I feel if she doesn't get strong enough to protect either of them, Naruto and Sasuke are both going to die in the end. I'm not worried how that will affect Sakura but how it will affect Hinata. Naruto is her everything and knowing her, if he dies she'll blame herself and call herself weak and she'll return to that failure mindset that her father and Neji (before Time skip) bestowed upon her. After coming as far as she has, I can't stand to see her drop down to that mindset again.
