He wasn't beaten but out-smarted. Normally, Hidan is tiers above Shikamaru. Additionally, Kishi has admitted Hidan was his favourite Akatsuki and had other hidden abilities not revealed due to the limited time given to him by his Editors.

Did kishi revealed any of the abilities?

And you really should've read my post better, because i said he almost completely destroyed Sasuke. But i guess your selective reading didn't catch that.

One sasuke with a rookie MS vs 4 kages,NONE of the could beat him,he got a little help from zetsu but the kage had their guards. I advise you again to watch the fight and put some serious attention to gaaras words

make all the excuses, you want, Sasuke still showed up trying to be a badass because he had MS, and the Raikage showed him what a badass looked like. Go whine to somebody who cares about how little exp Sasuke had with it when he showed up there. It happened, and no amount of excuses you or anybody else make is going to change that.

Shikamaru won the fight with brains. If he wasn't so smart he would of gotten rekted lol he was running low on chakra so he couldn't hold shadow possession much longer. Once that's down hes done.

Hidan was a fun character with an extremely niche advantage. Because Kishi never got to expand on him and his scythe's hidden abilties, he's essentially a gimmick.

Have won debates against him with Deidara, Kurotsuchi, Fuu and my boy Kidomaru before.

Because...what can Hidan even do against Golden Sticky Armour? Nothing. With one small jutsu, Hidan is rendered useless. Which is a shame. If you don't know his gimmick though, a lot of ninja ARE admittedly going to be in a moment of trouble, i'll give you that.

I always liked hidan. Cool character and soem dope abilities. Definitely could of assassinated a kage in a surpise attack if they had no intel about his immortality. A great messenger of jashin as well

Probably not, any kage should know at least a single sealing tech. they have access to all the jutsu in the village and after he got up the first time they'd move on to sealing him.

Sometimes I question Hidan's qualifications for being in Akatsuki. He's powerful yeah, but even Zetsu would give him a tough fight and possibly win. I think Pain mainly needed someone whom Kakuzu couldn't kill in a blind rage.

if kishi gave him a couple of ninjutsu,and for example two clones,he would compete with the others,most naruto xters with intel decimate hidan,without intel he is still not in top 30,he had potential yes,but kishi said he was lazy at the time to improve hidans skill

Well, that guy was stronger than Asuma, who was considered to be an elite Jounin (Asuma OWNED whole Otagakure squad in seconds, and that squad had several Chuunins and one Jounin). Hidan was not weak, he was just weaker than other Akatsuki members.
