simply having a slightly haxxed technique based on physical touch made doesn't make somebody really powerful. It's basically been put out there in canon that the only reason he was allowed in Akatsuki was because his immortality made it difficult for Kakazu to kill him.

Same as the raikage,he only knew wrestling moves,so the only reason he was raikage is because his father was the previous raikage?

Hidan lacked speed, any sort of DC and any sort of durability/defense. You just can't be in the Top 15-20 w/o any of the two. Him being calm, collected and more analytical wouldn't really change his standing in Akatsuki.

Still, his abilities are by far one of the most terrifying, and he's pretty entertaining.

Kishi did say Hidan had other abilities not shown mostly because he was rushed by his Editors to finish that arc.

The Fourth Raikage almost completely destroyed MS Sasuke with those moves (notice how the Raikage had more than 1 to speak of), and his chakra reserves were mentioned as being near bijuu lvls. When has anybody in the story made a comment about Hidan's chakra reserves being anywhere near sniffing that ballpark? Never.

He's the weakest member of the group and said himself out his own mouth that he has the slowest attacks in the akatsuki. He and kakuzu were a badass combo but by himself he sucks.

i think you are the one who needs to watch that fight again, because you are telling an entirely different story than the one everybody else read and saw. And you really should've read my post better, because i said he almost completely destroyed Sasuke. But i guess your selective reading didn't catch that.
