Kakashi couldn't see it with his sharingan.

Zabuza has been using the mist all his life, he specializes in Silent Killing, a.k.a, going up close to your opponent and slash him down before he can react. What makes you think that Zabuza would simply walk right in front of him, when he can kill him with an attack from behind ?

Because Zabuza has no reason to stab vital points (especially when that large ass sword would make it difficult) when he can simply slash him and guarantee himself victory. He even refers to his sword as the head slicer [

] he has no reason to suddenly just stab him, when he can slash his body in two, guaranteeing victory, and negating all possibility of Hidan being able to attack back in his final moments.

well either way he wouldnt be dead at the end but when zabuza strikes he gives his position away. Hidan could be ablte to shift his body to change the slashes effectivness ... despite being the slowest akatsuki he has alright reflexes as shown when he demonstraded what i just said when shikamaru "came backto life"

He barely managed to dodge a Kunai swing from Shikamaru, and he didn't even block it completely, his throat still got cut. He won't be able to do the same vs Zabuza, because

1) He can't see him
2) He can't hear him
3) Zabuza's sword is much larger and harder to avoid

yes but without intel zabuza would go for a vital spot even if he hit hidan in the mist. And a vital spot doesnt work on hidan clearly all that would do woulg be to give away zabuzas position hidan strikes obtains zabuzas blood and its over ... so no without intel hidan clearly wins.
With intel: could go either way but id still say hidan

Zabuza would decapitate Hidan though...

You know what could have saved all that debating? A simple answer, Water Clones. A Water Clone could move in and strike first, if it somehow doesnt decapitate Hidan and Hidan would be able to react, he would destroy the Clone. Then, being fooled, Zabuza could appear behind him and finish the job. Zabuza low diff
