in the end its down to who cut who first as both are pretty skilled in Kenjutsu
and both have a pretty sweet weapon
so Zabuza for me though due to his hidden mist tech and silent killing ability

No one underrates him. If you don't have knowledge vs him, you're probably screwed. If you have knowledge of him you only have to be half decent at CQC to beat him. He's an absolute idiot, he's not gonna outsmart anyone.

actually Hidan was an extra body for Akatsuki to perform the Gedo bijuu extracting ceremony it was a plus that he was immortal since he was teamed with the one guy who kept offing his partners oh wait I guess there are 2 reasons because it wasn't for his skill or strategic ability...Zabuza always fights to kill he is a close to mid range fighter peppered with a few long range techs Hidan is prone to panicking if he feels he doesn't have the upper hand...

First of all, hidan is not a *****. Silent killing is not gonna work on him. He is expert in taijutsu and has a good reflexes, just like when Asuma tried to ambush him from behind. kakuzu mentioned that he can't kill hidan.. Kakuzu will rape Zabuza so pretty hard..
