As a female myself I will have to agree with The Dark King I would much rather here you tell me the truth then a lie. Something as simple as the truth can and will set u free xd

i like dark kings solution the most too, but it will hurt her and to hurt others usually hurts one self, so it isnt the solution for guys without bravery. and she'll hurt you most if she is really dangerous.
if she's the type of girl who catches a friend and never let him go, you'll have to tell her the truth, otherwise she'll keep clinging on you. if you value her high, it's the only responsible answer to.
apart from that:
usually bringing some space between the two of you isnt a bad idea. do some kind of internship, or make a journey with your friends. afterwards the distance will be bigger, so it'll be easier to break.

Lies will just make things worse, anywhere you put it - trust me. It might even affect you in the end. Hurt, pain - they're always there. At least with the truth, you only get to hurt people once. With a lie, you get to hurt them twice: (1) is with the pain brought about by what is true, and (2) the pain brought about by being lied to.

Just think, though. When she finds out (and she will) about your little phib, she'll react even crazier than if you were to tell her the truth. Trust me, it'll only give her another excuse to lash out. And a good one, too. She's got feelings as well as you do.
...Buuutt if it were me whom she was dating (and I use that term loosely, I don't do that sort of thing), and her and her friends attempted to verbally abuse me or "attack" as you so well put it, I'd try to make them feel as stupid and irrational as possible. Be the calm one. If you even so much as blink the wrong way, some girls may see it as a chance to pounce.

Like everyone else has said...be honest. That's the best way to go. And mention that to her aswell, that you wanted to be completely honest.

Be honest my friend. I have dated at least 3 crazy chicks, all crazy in their own way, ranging from stalker to trying to be physically abusive. The truth works the best, no matter what you do, if she's that crazy, she'll still be crazy 99% of the time but, lieing will NEVER make things any better for you or her, ever. DONT LIE
