Alright, so with those three examples, I hope you get the gist of "advanced elemental combinations". They basically serve the purpose of strengthening the use of your other techniques or simply making your move that much harder to counter. The process involves looking at a technique, working out the most common ways of countering it and building a move based around preventing those counters from being successful.
Most doton jutsus which affect the ground around your opponent are usually negated/countered through channeling an electrical current into the ground. With that knowledge, all you need to do is make it impossible/dangerous/life-threatening to conduct electrical currents into the ground. Water is an effective conductor of electricity due to the impurities within it, meaning creating a layer of water around your opponent's feet (through whatever means) would remove their ability to channel electrical currents into the ground. Should they attempt to do so, the lightning will conduct into the water, before short-circuiting and killing the user. Now this is true for an element weak to Lightning e.g. Wood, Steel and Crystal, meaning this tactic isn't solely restricted to the use of Earth.
Now for your task. I want you to post your favourite/most-commonly used technique, along with one or two techniques you can use it in combination with to make it harder to counter. Don't include the examples I gave you and try to make it original xD
Will pick up a combination for the technique "Four Pillar Bind".

I begin by performing the 5 required handseals making giant pillars to form each 5 meters away from the target while surrounding him, forming a square. They are located in such a manner that me and my opponent would clearly see eachother. Bolts of lightning then fall down on the opponent and all around him inside the square formation the pillars made.
Just when lightning was about to reach the opponent, I made one handseals and formed an orb of water with whips that emerged from it just 1 meter behind the opponent. Whips pierced through the opponents arms, legs and chest while also wrapping around him preventing him from moving and forming handseals.

I performed 2 handsealschannelled my earth chakra into the ground and created a swamp beneath the opponent, deep but not very very deep.
After that, I performed the rat handseal and controlled the air currents from my palms above the swamp ,forming a large field of raging air currents and gusting winds, and at the very same instant, my wood clone slammed the ground and summoned water above you, the swamp and it crashed down, on the swamp, and into the just created raging air currents. So there was a raging air currents and gusting winds carrying a lot of water, but also a lot of water entered the swamp, so that if the opponent will use raiton he'll hopefully will be electrified, and if he sends lightning above in some kind of way, it'll hopefully will be canceled out by the raging gusts of winds carrying water, and when he comes out, he'll be sliced by the wind, water and carried away and shizz

The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

I'll start in short range,and quickly perform three handseals,Rat → Dog → Ox.Thus creating a whip,which I wield with my right hand,made of water.I would then capture the opponent around his body.I then focus my Raiton chakra to travel through the whip.This would then shock the opponent,leaving him open for more attacks.While staggered,I would concentrate Raiton chakra in my hand and compress it into a ball.I then release it towards the stunted enemy,causing an explosion!

Fairly decent combos, though fairly easy counters to all of them exist. Tsuki, your combo is too linear and completely neutralized with one jutsu (A-Rank Vacuum Wave).
Khalil, you're trying to do too much at once. Remember, you cannot perform two jutsu before your opponent performs one, let alone three jutsu. Make your descriptions more clear as well as the order of the techniques you're using .
Detective, not much to say here, its a basic combo but its a start.
The key to a successful combo usually lies within the fact of launching attacks from multiple directions to limit the way the opponent can react. Balancing the amount of offensives you can launch from separate directions leads to the most successful of attacks. Let's say you managed to get off Swamp of the Underworld and Dropping Lid at the same time ? Most opponent's would lack the means to counter both attacks at once, putting them in a very vulnerable situation. Be it neck-deep in an adhesive marsh or crushed under a massive rock formation. Leading on from this, your next task is to do the following: list as much as you can (at least five) canon techniques for each of the categories. Don't stress about how many you can get, but don't be lazy about it. I'll start you off with each category
