What? They're not weak.
Luffy defeated Arlong, who was partially a Swordsman. No ordinary swordsman will "easily" defeat Luffy, or defeat him at all. And with Zoro and Sanji backing him up, those 5 alone will be enough to enter Grand Line. It is nice of you to have that much respect for the Grand Line, it means the Baratie and Arlong Arcs had a good effect on you, but Don Krieg lost to the Grand Line because he wasn't a good pirate, Luffy is a great pirate. Zeff was in the Grand Line for a whole year, and don't expect him to have a huge huge pirate crew.

Yes, they arent that weak, but if you compare them to strong guys like Mihawk, or cpt Smoker(i think his rank is cpt? You know, that guy with DF?), or that Dragon guy(he can control weather- i dont know much about him since he was in show just for few mins; i guess he is really strong)
Well yeah, but what's the point of adventure if you already know you are stronger than everyone else? I think it was great of Oda to show Luffy and the Straw Hat crew following their goals without caring for people stronger than them. In fact, if you go your whole life only thinking about how stronger everybody else is, you won't reach goal.
So this early in the game, the point of One Piece is to teach you to have faith in yourself and follow your dreams, no matter how hard they seem. Luffy has no fear, and even though Nami and Usopp say they do, deep down they're as brave and passionate as Luffy, Zoro and Sanji.

The One Piece World is a bit more complicated than you may think. Besides the Grand Line it is also divided by the Red Line. So trust me when I say that they aren't half way yet

Yea, i see the point, but still story kinda makes no sense(there were better and stronger pirates in Grand line but they didn't do anything... and what i want to say is: it will be stupid if they go and find one piece as they are now, but they aren't even near there(as Love Cook says) altought it seems for me that they are(i would assume thet thay are if i couldn't see number of episodes). Do you know what i mean? That's what I said, they are not weak, we established that, but they are obviously not strong enough yet. There is a path, a journey that they must follow until they can reach the end of the Gand Line. They are not strong enough yet, but they are strong enough to stand on their own, and with each island they go through, and each obstacle they defeat, they get stronger. Did you not notice how stronger Luffy and the other have gotten since the story started? The Luffy that defeat Arlong was stronger than the Luffy that defeat Don Krieg, which was stronger than the Luffy that defeated Captain Kuro, and so on. Why would you think he or they'd stop growing after they entered the Grand Line, if anything they'd only grow even faster.
So in I sense, I think I get what you're saying, Luffy and the other are no where near the level they need to be to defeat all the enemies that will stand on their way (Smoker, Mihawk, etc) but they will grow, and hopefully when the time comes, when they have to face those enemies, they will be at that level and then they will surpass them.
u havent seen anything trust me...when luffy shows his powers l8r...*jaw Drop*:izuna:...trust me...luffyd df s though lame bt he uses it 2 enhance it to extraordinary lvls....
and yes about dragon...he may be one of the strongest characters in op....
