Racists are those who dont identify with other ethnicities views and are insensitive to the history and struggles they've gone through, to the point that they are just downright disrespectful to other races.

You are a Racist, and you dont know it. Sorry 2 tell you. Representation matters. And you shouldnt be so outspoken over something you clearly can even understand. All you understand is how to disrespect others while imposing your views.

I am quite the historian and i will tell you this the first slaves before Africans were irish you calling me a racist dont make me one a racist a racist is a person who hates a people of a differing color i havnt disrespected i shared my view

Your forgetting that the country next to egypt was sudan and basically it was one country. Before egypt and sudan were one. So the people that were drawn/on the pic are obviously from the south. They're were some phaorahs that had the same skins as a black person because of the mate.

They're were golden-tan'd people (north of egypt) and the black ones (from the south of egypt) which is sudan now

Yes but only southern sudanese are this dark most of Sudan isn't. And what is now southern Sudan was never part of the ancient Egyptian empire, rather it was part of the nubian empire. The fact that ancient sudanese look different from their modern counter parts is proof enough that people change by mixing and some people move. The world was never stagnant, some time ago western china was populated by white people, today that isn't the case, people move about. Modern Egyptians never looked like their ancient counterparts.

And climate? Lol no amount of sun is ever gonna turn a golden yellowish person into a guy as dark as that.

Who acted the slave roles then? :bdpf:

Racist jokes aside, do people really still make race-exclusive movies? o_O

I see you're one of those people, Colorblindness does not exist. Stop using the word racist wrong. You underestimate the effect such things have on children and society.

Im calling it by its proper label and as for the other comment i dont care what color a person is i judge by actions i have more black and latino friends then white so im pretty indifferent on color

There is plenty of blacks in good guy roles and music and sports are predominently black

Many=/=enough/as much as there should be. The fact that there are people like you who are trying to undermine the importance of representation of black people in the media is why we still need it.

I noticed that people were mentioning that all of the gods were white and not nonwhite. Where are the black and brown people? This movie is suppose to be about Ancient Egyptians. I've never seen a movie about Greeks and Greek Gods played by an all black cast. I don't Hollywood would ever make such a movie. Oh god and that guy's accent who talks to the girl.

Why?? I know it's not hard for Hollywood to find black people for movies. They did a good job with Blood Diamond, 12 years a slave, and other movies that depict black people as poor, inferior sub-species, and such. But with a movie about gods and royalty it's impossible for Hollywood. Think about all the children going to go see this movie. This is an awful way to teach kids about Ancient Egypt. That movie exodus was bad, why are the doing this Christian Bale and Gerard Butler?

Hollywood is amazing :sdo:

Note: I use African and Black interchangeably. Anyone of African/Black descent is black to me and I mean those other cultures like the Israelites and Latin Americans and such.

You do know that ancient Egyptians weren't black just like the Egyptians today are Arabs or whatever. ancient Egyptians were like the greeks.

Regardless of the fact that whether ancient Egyptians were purely black or not; they certainly were not white like the movie depicted.

Current day Egyptians are in many different shades, but majority are not white. They are Arab, black, coptic etc.

So yeah movie is whitewashed no matter how you slice.

You do know that ancient Egyptians weren't black just like the Egyptians today are Arabs or whatever. ancient Egyptians were like the greeks.

Lawl nope.

Fun fact: egyptians arent black .

OP says Ancient Egypt..
Ancient Egypt = Kemet ≠ Modern Egypt..

The word Kemet in itself means 'Land of the dark/black skinned'

White Historians have twisted black African history so much that people have forgotten that the ancient Egyptians were black..

Hotep!

You sound like you have very little knowledge on History or at least History on ancient Egypt (Kemet)

It's widely agreed that the ancient Egyptians were black/dark skinned people.. It's all seen from the Pyramids/Temples/Tombs and Hieroglyph texts...

You should read more...

Not true ancient egypt in the time of faraous was white/brown and even after that it was Brown. Look at most hieroglyphs. Maybe some blacks became slaves but most people there were certainly not black.

So I read through all of your posts, took in the points, then looked this shit up myself. This is what I was able to find:

1. Ancient Egypt was a melting pot. Many different shades of skin (except really pasty)

2. The palest people (the Berbers) were like Drizzy Drake light skin. Maybe a tiny bit lighter. Lighter than what most would consider Egyptian.

3. What evidence we do have suggests there were plenty of light brown, brown, and dark brown people in Egypt. The idea of an "all tan everything" community of Egyptians isn't very realistic.

4. There isn't any evidence suggesting they even gave a damn about skin tone. You were an Egyptian if you obeyed the Pharoah, worshipped the right gods, and other Egyptian shit.

So what I got out of this is asking what skin tone ancient Egyptians were is like asking what skin tone an American is.

Loki d, I imagine that the e.g. Japanese and Chinese every now and then do a film based on events in west, do you think they use White actors for them?

They do not.

America used to be a White majority state, and Europe is the ancestral-land of Whites - naturally, the entertainment industries of those parts of the world would be Eurocentric.

In spite of all that, they constantly endeavour to include minorities. Moreover it is no secret that the western entertainment industry has a mostly leftist undercurrent to it to anyone who has a clue.

Yet, as usual, you want more and more.

Anyways if it helps you sleep better at night, as a White guy I'd give you guys the entertainment industry in a heartbeat if it were up to me personally.

If there is a single entity out there that literally embodies the cultural decay of the western world, it has to be Hollywood. Not sure why you guys want it so bad.

Nah man.. The Ancient Egyptians and even their gods ( especially Ausar aka Osiris and Anpu aka Anubis) are depicted as coal black.... All of it is shown in the pyramids and tombs..

Their skin colour always ranged from Black to Brown...
You might want to read extensively on this..
I've read so much about all the civilizations of the World and almost all evidence points to the fact and truth that the Ancient Egyptians were a Black/Brown race...

Just try to spend some time reading on the subject...

He doesn't want 'more and more'. All he's asking is more black people in roles that are more than likely supposed to be black.

That was an allusion - to the general fact that you people (it's mostly just under-performing groups, particularly Blacks and Muslims ) always want more than equality of opportunity, a state of affairs that does warrant the phrase I used.

By the way Pumpkin Ninja, when will your people stop mistreating the Hazaras?

It always breaks my heart to see a little Shia Hazara girl beheaded by a non flat-nosed Afghan (that's the reverse of the slur, get it?) in the news every now and then.

I hear they've suffered 'systematic oppression' in your country for hundreds of years now (including being enslaved in the masses by one your kings, what was he called, the Iron Emir?), is that true?

I hope you're constantly telling your fellow Pashtuns to check their Pashtun privilege as often as you are telling Whites.

Oh, sorry for teasing if you are an ethnic Hazara yourself, by the way.
