In fact, its already established that ninja do not just recklessly charge into their opponent at top speed because you will not be able to see their counter. Lee first stated this in part 1, minato as well says the same in kakashi gaiden. Probably why he relies on ftg more, cuz its safer (and faster of course).

When minato told kakashi the risk of his chidori, its quite plausible that he was talking from his own experience. Since he would know. Also when minato fought Ay, the same thing happened. Ay charged in full speed yet didnt see minatos counter, and that was before kakashi invented chidori. So it all ties in when you think about it, kakashis full speed chidori was no different to ays full speed lightning punch, which minato countered, the same way that rock jonin was about to counter kakashi.

I kind of agree, but don't compare Kakashi and Ay not seeing the counter isn't a problem for Ay, because lightning armor protects him from counter attacks which he proved against Sasuke. Sasuke ducked under his elbow and countered him and it barely scratched him.

Yeah i know, which i why ay doesnt care about charging in full soeed. Because his armor protects him from counter attacks. But the same principle applies. Ay did not see his opponents counter, same way kakashi didnt. Only difference is ay wouldnt have been hurt as bad.

Tobirama and hiruzen already confirmed shunshin is the speed he is praised for when they arrived. Dont know how kishi can make it much clearer.

Minato must have a godlike speed after it is highly implied that he with his special kunai could have heavily damaged armored Ay if not Bee's intervention, meanwhile MS Sasuke's chidori failed to do so; meaning his speed added an enhancement to the piercing power of his kunai up to a point that it exceeded the chidoris, even tho the chidori is naturally much stronger than the kunai. Well Tobirama invent Hiraishin. Yet he not stated to be Minato equal in speed, if Minato stated as greatest in God speed, then surely Tobirama will possess same title. It make no sense, does that mean all space time ninjutsu user equal fastest. So if ten ten to learn Hiraishin, she will also be call fast just because she learn a jutsu? That not sound right. Gemma and his team know Hiraishin but they not called the fastest ninja.

I think common sense need to be use here. It is movement speed being referred to. That why Hiruzen say he fast when Minato first reach battlefield and Tobirama impress.

I'd just like to say. In order to call a speed God like, it must be incredibly fast. Instant teleportation cannot be compared to god like speed, that just does not make sense. In order to make the comparison, it would mean the speed has to be incredibly fast, or movement speed beyond comprehension. I don't see how someone who just so happened to learn a teleportation technique can be compared to the speed of a god, that sound dumb to me. Someone made a good point, why does Tobirama not have the same credibility and praise and title as Minato since he too can teleport. Why not just say Minato has instantaneous speed (instant isn't even speed anyway), instead of trying to compare it to something that no matter how you look at it, is slower than instant. God like speed<Instant.

That Raikage scan kinda establishes that the yellow flash is fast enough to be on par with the Raikage. Of course Raikage is not on par with instant, so it must be referring to movement speed. I find it strange that people think the yellow flash isn't fast on his feet to be honest. You don't get a title of being the fastest, just to be called inferior to a character who admitted being slower, but the Naruto fan base is quite skeptical so understandable.

I think something people also need to look at is that the yellow flash with the ninetails chakra mode. He has no speed feats in that mode that are even comparable or surpass his alive feats, yet I've heard people say he is faster. So it's pretty much damage control and contradiction.

Conclusion:
Everyone character or technique that is compared to Godspeed or God like speed has referred to movement, according to the initial post of this thread. Sasuke moves fast, Raikage moves fast, Kakashi was moving fast. So I think it's unfair for anyone to say the same thing doesn't apply to the yellow flash.
