That De Bruyne in Chelsea couldn't play against 2nd divison club.
And 74mil is a joke.Chelsea bought Pedro and Hazard for 55min all together and both are better players than De Bruyne.
Bundesliga is a wonder league for him.
That's not a fair assessment of De Bruyne at all, you're evaluating him on a few games that were scattered around. He was never given a chance at Chelsea and its not easy to be at your best when you're just being thrown into the team and be expected to perform, you have to be given a proper run of games for you to get familiarized with the way your teammates operate. Also comparing him with Hazard is unfair, when Chelsea spent 30m on Hazard there was a huge risk that he could just as easily flop. He performed well yes but he did so in a French league that wasn't competitive, PSG were just starting their rise up while Lyon and Marseille were struggling at the time. Chelsea paid 30m for what he could become rather than what he was because when they bought him, he was far from the finished product (similarly to what Man City have done with Raheem Sterling).
With Pedro you have to take into account his age, he's 28 so he's reaching the end of his prime. If Chelsea tried to buy him even a year ago, they would have had to fork out atleast 40m because he's a proven player for one of the best clubs in the world and he's performed on the biggest stages in football but a year makes a huge difference in football.
De Bruyne performed outstandingly in a competitive league with world class players, the team that won league have multiple world cup winners and he outperformed every one of them and lead a team that were struggling to second place, ahead of teams like Leverkusen and Dortmand. There's also the fact the he's still very young and has atleast 6-8 years of his best football ahead of him.
Top teams in the near future??
I guess, it's going to be Juventus, Bayern, Chelsea, Madrid and Barcelona or United.
One might call me biased for putting United there, but frankly speaking we have some really formidable youth talents.
Depay will be at his prime at that point of time(provided that Madrid or some else won't snatch him). Shaw, Darmian, Wilson, Janujaz, schneiderlin(I am expecting him to grow even further) and many others.
Like Cali said, United aren't producing results and the reason for that is not only does the manager not know his players best positions, the players themselves don't know their best positions. Rooney was a good striker 3-4 years ago but, over the past few years he's lost a yard of pace and his positioning is horrendous. When playing as the focal point of a team, you don't drop into midfield to receive the ball because the team is left with no1 in the opponents half to begin the attack. He's best position is and always will be as a no.10 but, the problem with this is that United already possess a world class no.10 in Juan Mata who the manager is also playing out of position. The there's Januzaj who is not a no.10 playing as a no.10, the entire attack is playing in wrong positions. This creates several problems for the team when things aren't going well because these players will often drift out of position to receive the ball to try and make something happen which leaves the rest of the team exposed.
Moving into midfield, because the players ahead of them are constantly moving around, they're left open to attack and they lack any kind of pace so they're forced to make rash challenges and get booked. This means that they then have to be careful not to get booked for the rest of the game which allows attackers to run at them because they're aware that they won't be challenged and have a free run at the defense.
Defense time lol, Blind isnt central defender in any world. I actually feel sorry for this guy, he was bought as a left back and they turned him into a Defensive Midfielder and now a Central Defender. He's not sure of his natural position and even when he is starting to get to grips with it, he's moved to a new position.
The entire team is in shambles, the manager doesn't even know what type of player he needs to buy, he just says he needs a world class player. A world class what, striker, goalkeeper, winger? Now he's planning to play Fellaini as a striker, no offense to Fellaini but, no way in hell he's a striker. His best position for Everton was as a deep lying midfielder making late runs into the box. If United are to even get into the top 4, the manager needs to figure out what's the players best positions instead of buying more players and creating more problems.
I know all that...but mate one Ronaldo costed 70mil when sold to RM and we are talking about De Bruyne here.Sure he was a massive player for Wolfsburg last season but can he keep that form in Premier League? It's a different league....One Di Maria couldn't keep with it.And we all know how good Di Maria was.Wolfsburg is milking money here out of City.Fair enough it's not like City cares about money anyways...
Anyways who do u support? If I may ask?
Going with Chelsea not just cause Im a fan of then I just belive they have the best team to do so.Especially with the academy players.
Ronaldo was sold for 80m and the market is very different now than it was then. Just look at Bale for the perfect example, in what world is he better than Ronaldo? None. The reason is because the market in inflated nowadays and mediocre players are sold for hefty price tags.
Chelsea and academy players? They don't give the youth players a chance, they give them a game or two sporadically and then chuck them to the side. Mourinho has never given youth players a chance at any club he's been at, even at Madrid where he had amazing youth talents like Jese. He gave him a few games and now you don't even hear of him.
