Do people remember when Man City destroyed Man United at home 6-1 , did it make it better team for long? Barcelona is weaker this season than it been last few but only by defensively. Injured/poor defender and unmotivated GK who wants to leave.

Has anyone read this An Obituary for Spanish Soccer? it's hilarious and full of sarcasm

to a club that is 20 p behind Bayern in Bundersliga
Barca got beaten by a team, RM got beaten by one man, Lewandowski :) heheh

Anyways i wish the ebst for SaF what a career he has had. It'll be an interesting summer with all the rumours, etc going around transfer, coaches and players.

Anyone else agrees with me that David Moyes is perfect choice for ManU?
Perfect - not really! But wisest choice imo.

Anyhow, I'm still out-of-words to describe SAF even after these past days... Tbh, I never foresee that day - thereby, even I, don't really find correct words right now!

I feel sorry for Mancini the day he wins the EPL title for City the first in about 40+ years, the following year finishes second and gets fired. I'm sure there was other variables playing in this, but sad way to go. It seems many City fans and even some board members weren't happy with this.

Aguero and (luck) gave him a one-year extension. Otherwise, he would have got fired last year itself.
Personally, I never liked him, his attitude, his tactics or his words, so I think he deserved the sack. But indeed, he held a special place in City's fans heart because he brought the title to them after 44-year drought. For fans who were long-time City fans, last year's win meant the world to them and even if their season, this year, was poor - that never count for much since Mancini still did more with City than any other coach did with it. That's fans' perspective.

But then again, no matter what the fans say about - truth is it's the Sheikh who should be adulated by City; not Mancini!

Well, luck is needed by all from time to time. I think a few things led to this.

Youth academy, not too long ago you told me City had a project for that and it seems Mancini didn't carry it out, but he said, "Not every academy has a Messi/Xavi/Iniesta." Which I don't think the sheikh asked for, but what he wanted was some progress, which I don't think has happened? If I'm not mistaken.

Objective, he won the CS, and qualified for CL next season, but failed to retain the league (lost by December). He failed to bring capital cup, or FA cup losing the final to Wigan.

Poor CL. He always gets the group of death, but I think City won't escape that till they make progression. He also had a bad Europe record with a dominated Inter side as well.

Fall out with players. It seems a lot of players haven't been happy with him recently, even Zabaleta who always stood by his side.

Diego Lopez on current form deserves to be number one.
This is Madrid where players are selected based on merit, not catalunya where they are selected based on DNA and connections. Shame on you .. Lunatic lean witted Xavi !
Its amazing, having skill to play football and having a brain with an ounce of intellect is another thing. This guy should have at least gone to elementary school.
Xavi, you've made money maybe you get an education now because each time you talk its just trash. Who are you to make comments about who plays or does not play in a rival team ?

The sheikh was pushing for an academy. I cant remember were I read it but I know he definitely wants an to improve it. The guy has a brain he knows he cant keep pumping money in to city. The best long term teams are ones that do so with homegrown talent. With lots of success happening with homegrown talent dont the clubs realise that that is whats most important???
@ Totsuki
I have noticed that Barca have a lot to say about how Madrid handle things. I personally think Diego Lopez has been doing a good job. It is none of any Barca player business.

The copa del rey final was by far one of the best matches I have watched this footballing season and trust me I have watched a lot. It had everything drama, nail biting moments beautiful goals from each side and great work ethics from the teams mostly atheltico Madrid. Madrid were unlucky and had many opportunities to ut the game to bed, menwhile athletic hard every inch of it[luck] on their side. They were more organized as a unit and what a way to end their 19 year spell of no wins to Madrid by beating them on home turf and winning the league. Congrats to them. I just hope the ucl final would lead up to expectations as this final has.

Mourinho and Real part ways... Now what??
idk dude, i want Mourinho to stay as long as possible in Madrid despite being trophyless this season, but well you know as usual Perez know how to destroy Madrid, like in his 1st reign he sacked Del Bosque and sell Makelele, what a stupid move especially the Makelele issue.

i can only think Ancelotti and Michael Laudrup as Mourinho replacement.....

I've actually been supportive of Mourinho for a very long time, and I have no doubt he's an excellent coach, but recently though, it became just too much with his controversies... The Copa Del Rey final was a scandal (Ronaldo red carded, Mou sent to the stands), and in the end, I think a new coach will do the trick. The squad was divided, and it just couldn't work no more in my opinion. Still, Mou has done a lot since he came to Madrid, but I guess enough was enough.

If I was to pick, I would have gone for Di Matteo (for some reason, I like this guy) or Toril, Castilla's (Real's second team) coach.

Well, if we see the 4 EPL teams (United, City, Arsenal, Chelsea), the 4 Liga teams (Barcelona, RM, Athletico, Malaga), the 2 German forces (Dortmund, Bayern), the 2 Italian teams (Juve, Napoli), the 2 rich Frenchies (PSG and Monaco)...well, only Klopp, Conte, Vilanova & Simeone may stay with their teams. Wenger is on a grey part.

Seriously, seeing around 10 top coaches playing musical chair, that's quite something.

Anyhow, I'll make a long-wallie analysis on all those teams and more post- the CL final...including their performance on all fronts; along with how the different leagues and European competition went - aftermath and impact.

Ehm... I guess you missed the part where Malaga got thrown out of upcoming UEFA tournaments for the next three years or so due to financial problems?? I would swap them with Valencia actually. And I would say Milan perhaps is stronger than Napoli, even if they place behind them on the table this season.
I doubt Lyon and Marsille will do well next year, but Monaco is indeed interesting for sure. And let's not forget Leverkusen (and Schalke)!

I'll be looking forward to that my friend, haha =p

The reason I mentioned Athletico and Malaga, is that besides being strong teams, they also got hot prospects players like Falcao/Isco. Sure, Malaga got hit but that decision may be overtaken someday; if the finance issues are resolved. And also, Valencia is not even certain of being in CL, given they are equal points with Sociedad with a less strong goal difference.

Milan, it's my fault, should have added them. Still, I think Napoli is better than Milan.

Well, Leverkusen, Shalke, Tottenham, Roma teams, Benfica, Porto, Sporting ect... could all have made it. I just mentioned how most big clubs are going through radical changes after this season. Indeed, this season could be a game-changing one. And that's precisely why I'll start a debate on it post CL-final. Would be a great discussion; especially since there's no Euro/WC summer this year and the transfer won't get hot right away. So, an in-depth analysis shall be a great thing football-wise to talk on this thread.
