I was sure we would bounce back from 2-0 against Milan but 4-0 against Bayern... maybe next year if we buy some good defenders this summer. Barca has been purely defenseless. Against league clubs we could defend with our midfielders but against top clubs / strikers you need more than that

ROFLMAO - Ray Hudson on yesterday's draw against Bilbao :bouncy: Messi is back

"He emasculates them, individually, collectively"

"He dispersed his atoms inside of himself"? Sounds like Messi needs a wad of Kleenex.

UEFA Champions League Semi-finalists reviews

You must be registered for see images

FC Barcelona
Barcelona have gone to the semi-final again, but this time with hard work. They've lost 3 times this session in the CHL, since from the 2007/2008 CHL session. They are in the 1st place of the Spanish Liga but the ''treble-mission'' is already lost after their loss against Real Madrid in the Spanish Cup. The only trophy they have secured is La Liga but Champions Leage...is almost imposible for them after they lost brutaly against Bayern 4-0 in Munich, so they may win only 1 trophy this time. Still, they have 90 minutes left to turn Bayern over just like the secong leg against Milan. But this looks almost imposible cause they are facing a better team now. This wasn't a good time for Barcelona who are looking for a better session next time.

FC Bayern München
After a really bad session (lost the BundesLiga, DFB Cup and the CHL final) Bayern are in top form this time! They've already won the BundesLiga (6 matches to go before ending and losing once) and have gone to the final of DFB Cup. Now they are favorites of winning the Champions Leage after a shocking win in Munich against Barcelona 4-0 in the first leg! Bayern are aiming for a treble, as they are the only team that can win a treble this session. Bayern have won against top clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, now even against Barcelona! Heynckens is doing his job perfectly, before Pep Guardiola leads Bayern next session. BundesLiga winners, ChL favorites, DFB Cup finalists, Bayern are on the top!

Borussia Dortmund
In the past 2 years Dortmund were German champions, now the only trophy they can get is Champions League. They are in the 2nd place of the BundesLiga but already lost it. Also, they got eleminated in the Quarter-finals of DFB Cup by Bayern (1-0). Even if they aren't favorites they are very close to going to the final of the ChL after a 4-1 victory against Real Madrid in Germany. They are the only unbeaten team in CHL for the moment. The oposite with Bayern, this can be a bad session for them if they lose the ChL. Gotze will leave Dortmund next session, Lewandowsi too, and Hummels may leave too. Dortmund keep going, as they are trying to make history in European Football!

Real Madrid CF
Real Madrid are aiming for a 10th Chl trophy this time but they aren't very close to the final after losing the first leg against Dortmund. They are trying to get close to Barcelona in La Liga, but Barcelona keep winning points. They have gone to the final of the Spanish Cup so they have a chance for a double this session. Even if they lost 4-1 against Dortmund , Bernabeu stadium and Madrid has a great history of comebacks! For example the great comeback in 1985 , after losing 5-1 against Mönchengladbach they cam back with a 4-0 in the second leg. They have a lot more, so Dortmund should try to create a top performance again if they want to continue the game. Actually, Real has a bad football club history with german clubs, getting beaten very badly! But, Real Madrid have the quality to come back and turn everything over!

FC Barcelona's CL match history for the moment:

Bayern's:

Match Predictions for the second leg of the Cl Semi-Finals:

Madrid - Dortmund;

2-0 at half time (Ronaldo, Higuain/Benzema - depending on who will play, but I'll say Higuain).
4-1 at full time - Second half, Ronaldo scores around 60th minute, but the joy is cut short by Lewandolski goal at the 70th minute. Then in the additional time, Ronaldo completes his hattrick, and we'll have extra time. Madrid wins either on penalties, or 5-1 (5-5 and Madrid through on penalties or 6-5 in favor of Madrid on agg.).

Barcelona - Bayern;

1st half - Barca goes all in and gets 2 early goals, but they are cut short by a Robben goal at the half break.
2nd Half - Barca tries to come back and gets and early goal, but their spirit is crushed by a Bayern goal around the 60th minute. Then, Bayern gets the equalizer in additional time, and it ends 3-3 (7-3 on agg.).

Madrid - Bayern in the finals

I have to give you credit for your imagination. You think Madrid are going to get by Dortmund? Of course you guys are in the better seat and have a strong Dortmund side (BM is hotter at the moment). As long as both Spanish side put up a fight or even if one makes a comeback and get in the final, I think I'll be fine with that, however I won't be rooting for RM in the final, rather have a Spanish club in the final, these Germans are becoming a handful to deal with.

Franz Beckenbauer warns Bayern for the second leg of the CL Semi-final even if they won 4-0 in Munich.

Barcelona will try every trick in the book to overturn a 4-0 first-leg deficit against Bayern Munich in their Champions League semi-final return leg on Wednesday, honorary Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer warned today.

Bayern crushed the Spaniards last week in a surprisingly one-sided encounter but Beckenbauer, former player, coach and president of Germany's most successful club, warned that Barcelona were not ready to surrender.

"Barca will try everything to throw Bayern off balance," he told Bild newspaper. "They will deploy all methods, anything that's allowed and anything that's forbidden. They will defend themselves because their pride has been hurt."

Bayern, leading 1-0 at halftime, played a flawless second half against the former European champions - widely considered the best team in the past five years - last week in Munich to notch up another three goals and take a huge advantage into the second leg in Spain.

"Barca will try to take Bayern's eyes off their game plan with one-on-one duels. The Bayern players should not be drawn into personal battles," said the 67-year-old Beckenbauer who won three consecutive European Cups with Bayern in the 1970s.
"They will not surrender, they will provoke, they will try all the tricks in the book.".

Bayern, who have already won the Bundesliga and are in the German Cup final, are bidding for an unprecedented treble of titles for a German club
Also, Franz said to the media and Bayern that Spanish Football is dangerous, bad with a lot of stimulations and fouls. Notably in these situasions.

Barcelona may even pay the referee. Mario Gomez, Lahm, Dante, Gustavo, Schweinsteiger,Martinez are all booked with a yellow card in the first leg, and if they get booked again they will miss the final.

"Impossible is only a word that weak people use who live easily in the world given to them, without daring to explore the power they to change it," Alves wrote. "'Impossible' is not a fact, it is an opinion. 'Impossible' is not a declaration, it is a challenge. 'Impossible' is potential. 'Impossible' is temporary. Impossible is nothing."

I have to say nice quote from Alves.

Here's a better way of putting it: Madrid fought in the end. Pepe should never have played in the first leg. If Mourinho had fielded the same lineup of yesterday in the first leg, the result would have been different. And i'm not even going to comment on the first three golden chances missed yesterday which woud've killed the game within the first 15 min.

Anyhow, better luck next time. The CL will come sooner or later. Now, let's just congratulate Dortmund and wish them luck in the final. Their victory is well-deserved.

This was just disappointing and humiliating result. Barcelona couldn't even put up half a decent fight in any of the legs and pretty much got stomped at Camp Nou. Well, now will have to see what Tito and Rosell have in store for next season, or are we going to suffer the same fate SMH.

Ps: congrats to BM they played very well and collectively. They bought the game to Barcelona. They outclassed us in every department.

What can I say about semi-fianals? I was expecting that Bayern will take out Barcelona, but as RM supporter I never imaginated that Borussia will do the same with my team. Well, at leat Real put up some fight, but its poor consolation.

As for finals... well, Im a Pole, so its obvious that I will be rooting for Borussia. I hope that Lewandowski will score hat-trick against Bayern like he did last year, but then again I realise that will be very hard for Borussia. Bayern are favorites, there is no doubt about it.

I predicted 7-1 but in the end It was 7-0.. I can't be that angry as Bayern is my second fav club or WILL be after Pep takes it over. I feel sorry for our team and especially for all the fans who had faith in them. I hope now that we lost and we're humiliated all the cu*ts will jump off the bandwagon :yay:

Do people remember when Man City destroyed Man United at home 6-1 , did it make it better team for long? Barcelona is weaker this season than it been last few but only by defensively. Injured/poor defender and unmotivated GK who wants to leave.

Has anyone read this An Obituary for Spanish Soccer? it's hilarious and full of sarcasm

7-0 Lol=D
we lost by a single goal:(
