The Rinnegan itself is probably the "contract" that allows a Rinnegan user to summon Gedo Mazo(Jubi) from the Moon. Just a theory...

The similarities are too close to be just a coincidence. Its either the body of the Juubi, obviously void of its content at the moment, or its some type of replacement Juubi created to replace it. Also no one has mentioned the obvious: Gedo Mazo holds tailed beasts. Why? A very possible answer is that its the Juubi.

if it just a summoning why is it the only summoning able no scratch that made to seal tailed beasts in NINE orbs why NINE where there are NINE tailed beasts and NINE make the juubi when together (maybe sealed together) ALSO the dact of its unique sealing jutsu
