Says you. Manga attributes the game-changer of Gear 4th being its elasticity, not boosting the strength of Haki, so that's what I'ma go with.

I never said Luffy's Haki was superior to Doffy's or vice versa. I think they're equal, and also inferior to Law's because while Law can focus on training his Busoshoku, Luffy specializes and focuses on his Haoshoku, and Doffy's Haki was portrayed evenly with Luffy's. Even when Doflamingo broke through Luffy's attacks and struck Luffy, Luffy's Haki remained up. Luffy and Doffy's Haki are evenly matched, so Doffy couldn't bypass Luffy's elasticity.

The elasticity is to buff up Luffy's attack, while the haki also bumps it up. Go with what you want but it's been made obvious a weapon or first coated in better haki negates devil fruit abilities.

I never said you did, I'm on the fact you think Law has better haki than the both. Just because Luffy specialises in King's doesn't mean his haki can't be better than Law's. While I think for the most part DD has superior haki to Law, haki has been shown to be weak to sharp attacks seeing how Hody could break through Luffy's haki with sharp teeth. Just because Law doesn't specialize in King's haki doesn't put his arms above Luffy who is a brawler, while in general he's shown and portrayed to be above Law. If their haki's are equal Doffy should still be bale to hit the real body. Doffy was easily blocking Luffy's blowx with his own haki prior to G4 but that changed as soon as he entered G4, it's obvious Luffy's haki increased, haki allows unless it's much weaker allows you to hit the real body, if Luffy and Doffy had equal haki Doffy would be able to hit the real body, haki doesn't work unless it's much weaker.

Yup. They might hurt him more but the force of his attack would push those strings back regardless, haki is there for extra protection it is not the reason why those strings got pushed back at all. I showed you a scan of pre haki Luffy pushing a sharp attack back so its already been done before without Haki.

Pushing sand isnt the same as pushing a string coated in haki that is pointed to a tip and is basically a spear. That sand loses any sense of sharpness as soon as its structure begins to change and if the user manipulating that sand doesn't have the strength to maintain that form then the sand cant even maintain form long enough to withstand the force required to cut something. The strings showed that they had the required force earlier in the chapter.

Also haki is luffys only form of protection against sharp objects. He has said before this sketchiness doesnt help against swords or spears. I dont see how increasing elasticity changes that at all.

But as I have tried to point out multiple times, luffy fist wasn't hitting all of those strings, some hit his arm and no they didnt pierce it look at the next page.

He's able to punch through them because of the sheer force he's producing being better than their force. If they were just being thrown into him, his body would probably just deform and repel them.

You keep saying Luffy said sharp objects can't be repelled by his elasticity, but Luffy said this before he had the enhanced elasticity of Gear 4.
