Gaara WILL defeat Jiraiya.

So, I have been looking at threads lately and I see Jiraiya being overrated such as him being able to defeat Nagato which is totally far-fetched.

Gaara can fly and attack Jiraiya front the sky which makes most of Jiraiyas moves futile.

Any summons can and will be dealt with by quick sand or sand tsunami or even sand hail.

Even if jiraiya manages to put Gaara in a genjutsu then it can only result in a draw as Jiraiya cannot break through Gaara's defense as it is automatic and the genjutsu even takes long to perform and almost impossible to perform while gaara is attacking relentlessly.

Yeah, I know what you meant... really though, while you're entitled to your opinion, that's all this is. Your points are fairly subjective, hyperbolic even.

as it stands with jiraiya vs gaara i'd say Jman has it. he has plenty of long range attacks and who's to say he can't close the gap from time to time with afew key attacks.

Jman could be any of the living kages 1v1.

in order of str i still say Jman > or = oro > tsunade.

Sasuke beat Danzou who was Jiraiya's teacher's mate, so I guess experience can be not so useful after all. Gaara also beat his father and the second mizukage and even restrained all three powerful kages at the same time despite their experience. And even naruto was able to hit muu despite his sensory ability and experience.

If it's not in the desert, and Gamabunta is summoned, Jiraiya's oil pretty much puts Gaara in some deep doo doo.

You do know Jiraiya can create quite a large ammount of oil.
Oil > sand

Jiraiya is so underrated,
Fire and Earth jutsu's, can create Oil.
Summons with Water/Fire/wind and can also create Oil and Ma+Pa have a strong Genjutsu.
He can also create a barrier around him that detects any movement while inside the barrier.
