Sasuke could get a pardon, but in order for this to happen, he needs to:

1. Repent
2. Have Naruto seriously support him in his appeal because he is the only person left on his side.
3. Start saving people and doing things to help others.

Gaara did all of these things which are a big part of the reason that he was pardoned. In the past, he would have used the sand to kill people, now he uses it to protect them.

I think Sasuke's crimes are worst: he joined Akatsuki, killed a few ninjas, attacked the Kage Summit and ultimately he has still yet to show that he is willing to change.

What if your mother,father all your clan members got killed right infront of your eye by your big brother? or any family member? Itachi used tsukyomi on sasuke in order to sasuke to witness every uchiha members death..

Theyre exact opposites. Gaara was a monster who pretty much came clean and is now a very respectable person. Sasuke is somebody who was respected and loved by every1, but chose to throw his life down the tubes. Also gaara never became an international criminal. Sasuke doesn't have the excuse that he was demonically posessed.

In Gaara's case,he's killed people. Circumstances don't matter.

In Sasuke case,he's killed people,betrayed his village,joined a terrorist organisation,attempted to kidnap a Jinchuuriki,killed a Kage,attacked the Gokage, took another Kage's hand,attempted to murder his latest team,assisted in the start of a world war and probably some other stuff who knows.....

One of those lists is longer.

Highlighted part, nonsense. This isnt an excuse. Fact is both have done crazy things. Sasuke mightve done alot more, but gaara has killed more that im certain. You talk about he didnt have control because of shikaku, thats merely an excuse, not different to me saying its after sasuke found out about itachi's life did he turn evil, before that he was actually very caring. If i remember correctly he didnt kill any of the fodders and oro questioned this, no different to how he told suigetsu not to kill anybody with the curse mark during their retrieval of juugo. Previous gaara was just as bad as current sasuke

Dude... I mean Gaara, since he was born had been rejected and been the target of many assassinations. I'm guessing that has some kind of effect on a kid, especially when your raised influenced by murder. Naruto even said that if he didn't make friends he would have probably ended up like Gaara. Now, Gaara is repenting and is trying to be someone who protects people instead of someone who hurts them. Sasuke, after hearing the true story of Itachi, and against Itachi's will, has chosen to become a murderous villain. But then again, Kishi will either kill Sasuke or make him befriend Naruto again.

Well Garaa should receive a pardon rather than Sasuke because Garaa changed, became stronger, and devoted himself to better standards and helping others. That is why he is the Kazikage. Sasuke on the other hand has no intention of changing, he wants to avenge Itachi and destroy the hidden leaf (kill everyone in it). Sasuke has past the boundary and is only getting more brutal. He feels no guilt in killing an ally and murders on his own mind set. He doesn't deserve a pardon, and frankly, he doesn't seemingly care.
