Lee was manhandling Gaara, he only lost because of plot.
Sasuke lost to Shukaku, he destroyed Gaara.

There is no way in hell His sand is keeping up with 7th gate Guy, it couldn't keep up with 4th gate lee.

A sand clone wouldn't make half a difference with Hirudora.

You forget that Gai is FAR faster and more powerful than Lee and can also open more gates and hold them open for a considerable amount of time before the effects start to show. This wont be the same fight at all.

Gai takes this low-mid diff.

Guy opens the 6th gate and beats the living crap out of him before ha could react and with faster and stronger punhes than Lees that are also enhanced with flames.

Gaara doesnt even need to Keep up with Guys Speed in gates Gaara can just use all the sand to defend himself, Guy cannot break through all that, especially not while in mid-air. Gaara in his fight against Lee had only a very small amount of sand and this sand wasnt so strong, Guy has no Chance to win this fight.

Gaara wins mid diff at most.
