A barely cracked Sasuke's Susanoo's ribcages Tsunade easily shattered Madara's skeletal Susanoo and easily braked the Susanoo swords. Tsunade's raw strength is on a different scale the A's.

She hit Madara's Ribcage Susanoo multiple times and cracks were barely showing. Any level higher than that wasn't even damaged, she only managed to move it.

Gaara's Sand defense automatic or not, he isn't capable of defending against Jinton, something which would tear it apart on a molecular level. Since he has no defense against Jinton and isn't fast enough to escape it before being struck (especially since he's a stationary fighter), the attack will bring about his inevitable demise.

Couldnt Gaara fight onoki's jinton if he obstructed onoki's view with his sand. If Gaara uses his sand to surround onoki's line of vision (ex. like placing a thin sand wall in front of onoki), then onoki wouldnt be able to see and gaara would easily be able to sneak atk him with the sand.

Tsunade is the strongest, then Onoki, then A, then Mei, then Gaara is weakest IMO.

Huge Gaara fan, but I dissagree. I think given his age-to-power ratio right now, he could be the strongest Kage of HIS generation. (meaning that by the time he is A or Tsunade's age, and the other Kage have been replaced by new ones of Gaara's age group) This of course is all NOT cosidering that Naruto may be Hokage at this time lol

This isn't just about 1 on 1, it's about who is stronger. However on both counts it's Onoki. Onoki can fly, so he's going to have a pretty good view. In addition, his dust attacks have a wide range and when pushed he can do a 360 spin blast destroying everything in its path. Gaara's screening is an awesome ability, very useful indeed... but not against someone who can atomise his sand like it isn't there.

The strongest is definitely Onoki. All he needs to do is keep his distance, and then fire off a Jinton in a Laser Beam form at Gaara to kill him. His Sand defense is useless as Jinton will rip right through it.

We are talking if the kages had a 1 on 1 tournament between them. Who would come out the strongest.
What reasons do you have to pick Tsunade? Not saying you cant be right, I am just wondering.

I'm sure this has already been said but I thought it was made incredibly clear in the Madara fight that Onoki is the strongest kage. He took charge and dealt the most damage and was literally leading the kage, all of the kage are strong in their own respective ways obviously but Onoki really is just more powerful than Gaara is. He took charge and dealt the most damage and was literally leading the kage, all of the kage are strong in their own respective ways obviously but Onoki really is just more powerful than Gaara is. It's a little obvious.

Onoki has age problems though and once his chakra drops to much he cant use jinton anymore. I could consider him the strongest as well, but I find it is pretty close to Gaara. Gaara has more endurance and no back problems.

Gaara is more stationary, not to mention you ignored the part where in most instances he'd begin with a gourd full of sand.
He's not going to have time to both attack and defend against Ōnoki's Jinton when he's attempting to create more sand.

Gaara isn't going to just dodge it, Jinton's area of effect is quite large and his speed is mediocre at best (databooks).
Not to mention the obvious, his sand won't withstand Jinton. Jinton will disintegrate the sand rather easily.

How? A doesnt have a long range attack and Gaara can fly and use long range attacks.
His sand is even capable of blocking some of A's attacks, as shown when he stopped A's guilotine kick on Sasuke, with sand.
He has improved since he fought Sasuke and got pierced by Chidori.
His sand is pretty quick too. It could catch a fast flying shinobi like Deidara and it managed to grab the 3rd Raikage. It was fast enough to block A's guilotine kick one Sasuke (fast enough to get in between in time).

Onoki he could lose to, but how will Tsunade win vs Gaara? She is not fast and she lacks long range attacks. She cant fly. She will be able to stay alive probably during Byakugo, but Gaara even has sealing jutsu.
Gaara can fly and has huge endurance like A and Tsunade too.
If anything, he would have more trouble with Mei than A orTsunade I think, due to Mei her long range jutsus.
