If Part 2 Lee and Gaara had a rematch, Lee would probably come out on top.

Naruto pre and post Sage mode could outfight Gaara still.

I love the fact that Deathbattle thinks that Toph can redirect Gaara's sand, when obviously he can exert more force on it than Toph can. I highly doubt Toph can block 3 susanoo blades.

Pre SM Naruto would not be able to beat Gaara. Post SM has a chance. (Still speculation btw)

1) Gaara's sand is fast enough to block Amaterasu, which is an instant attack that even the fastest shinobi can hardly avoid. Shinobi that would have a field day with Toph.

2) Gaara's chakra reserves are much larger now he is an adult, you based this battle off of his kid self's chakra level. Gaara doesn't use the Shikaku's chakra, so he can literally do five times the amount described before running low at all on chakra.

3) While Toph can sense where his sand is at all times, so can anyone with eyes... including Deidara, Sasuke, Kidomaru, Lee, etc... they all at some point, have been encased by Gaara's sand. Each of them are much faster than Toph could ever imagine. While she may be aware of the entirety of his sand's location, she can't physically avoid it, she's simply not fast enough.

4) Toph couldn't have known that Gaara intended to crush her with the sand, she has never witnessed a tech like that one, so how would she had known to cover her entire body with metal, that happened to be able to withstand the force that Gaara uses to crush people?

5) If this was a known death battle, then Gaara won the moment he caught Toph the first time. When Gaara intends to kill, he does it the first time he catches the victim. Even if he chooses to toy with them, he will at least break an arm and a leg. Toph would had died the first five minutes of this battle or been injured right away and been unable to avoid his abilities at all.

6) Gaara is much smarter than you think and can come up with plans to outwit even the most powerful shinobi, Toph's intelligence feats are not that great. She accomplished everything due to her superior earth bending. Not to mention Gaara has went face to face with gods. Toph has no feats even remotely comparable.

7) Toph can't get close enough to hit Gaara, because his sand still protects him and Toph isn't fast enough to get around it at all. She would have to bend her way through it, which would allow Gaara more than enough time to knock her back or fill her body full of sand.

This is probably the 4th or 5th death battle to leave a bad taste in my mouth in a ROW. Powers aside, gaara is a NINJA. im about to lay down some logic and reasoning

1. they say that benders can bend others elements, toph can bend gaara's sand(supposedly) but theres nothing stopping gaara from rebending the sand? she bends it and its over for gaara and he has no control over it? gaara, who mastered his jutsus and and later honed them throughout shippuden. i've seen plenty of benders counter there attacks after it was redirected back at them

2. gaara not once used a substitution or clone

3. gaara's sand is way faster than tough and the earth she bends.

4. gaara can bend more sand than toph can. meaning gaara can cover and destroy a city with his sand while toph can not control that much, she is out bended

5. gaara has a decent amount of chakra and would not have ran out of chakra

6. gaara's send could crush metal, and if it couldnt the pressure from a sand burial would kill if not cripple a toph wrapped in metal

7.any rock toph used gaara couldve crushed and turned into more sand, gaara can control more sand than toph can bend anything, toph would be overpowered

8. they outright say that gaara's sand moves at the speed of sound, toph does not move at the speed of sound but counters by sensing the sand? the same sand that moves at the speed of sound which she cant react to?

im going to restate this. benders redirect attacks all the time. gaara has mastered sand "bending" long before toph did. gaara can control vast more amounts of sand than toph can control anything. if they are somehow(assuming toph can take control of his sand) fighting for control over his sand, how does toph just automatically win? "toph controls sand" isnt an answer when THEY BOTH CONTROL SAND. logically the person with more experience and better control over his sand(gaara could sank a city while toph cant get anywhere close to that) would win.

Gaara's sand has reacted to V2 A and Amaterasu. With Ohnoki stopped a meteor, protected the whole village with his sand, stopped a Susanoo V3 blade enchanced with Senjutsu chakra, and many more. If this was a serios battle, it would have ended in seconds with Gaara being the winner.
