freedom vs equality

Which do you think is more important? I choose freedom because equality is impossible to maintain thanks to Darwinism and the corrupting effect of power.

Freedom will never exist as long as there is government, but humans needs government in order to establish a general code of living that we can use to maintain ourselves.

So I choose equality.
