Yes they're either that or they're doing it just for attention its really that simple.
They did it for attention that's no secret. But in that case why are you paying the attention to it while declaring that no one in right mind would?

How come no one protested about the black guy appearing to be lynched in the Movie Poster for Enter The Dragon?
They did.

the black martial artist Williams is depicted as taking on four women at a time, which plays into stereotypes about hyper-sexual black men, and he’s the only one of the main heroes who dies, in a manner that is disturbingly reminiscent of a lynching. He and the white martial artist Roper are both shown as being much more concerned with money and women than the noble and celibate Lee (his character is named Lee, too), partly because of the Chinese trope where a true warrior’s dedication to a mission is demonstrated through his chastity.

Because this is a whole new level of stupid to bring this up as a gender thing and the fact that fox apologized and appeased these prepubescent all offended white girls made it even worse.

What I see is a storm in a tea cup and a bigger storm in a tea cup in reaction. I am not impressed with either.

The poster are not problematic exactly but that good either (and can be debated anyway just like any other advertisement which may hit or miss the final impact any time- just like the representation of people of African origin in the movie 'Enter the dragon' some wee hyped, some others criticized it). And the usual rant brigade on feminists got active.

Whatever.

just an fyi, not what you say after 3 pages of debating and careposting.
If you bothered to read my posts I clearly said that I am not invested in this topic before too. I just keep getting quoted and replying a few flippant words on auto while going on with my day and mildly irritated at quote notifications. :p
