This thread only applies to some NB members not all.
The concepts of Edo tensei and Kuchiyose no jutsu (animals and etc) has been completely misunderstood on more then 60% of Naruto discussion threads.
Edo Tensei
People believe Edo tensei summons are like puppets. This is a false belief. Why? Because the fact is that by using edo tensei you are summoning dead souls to return to the living world, to do your biding. However, there is a misconception on NB that controlling other living beings by manipulating them is your own power, and that it is still considered Mano e Mano.
The common misconception of Edo tensei being the users own power comes from the following scan:
But I ask you to look again, Kabuto clearly states "his PAWNS"
Definition of "Pawn" Merriam Webster's dictionary:
1: one of the chessmen of least value having the power to move only forward ordinarily one square at a time, to capture only diagonally forward, and to be promoted to any piece except a king upon reaching the eighth rank
2: one that can be used to further the purposes of another
Clearly this is not about chess.. So the second definition applies here. " One that can used to further the purpose of another" I ask you my fellow NB members how exactly is that 1 vs 1 if your using someone else to further your purpose.. in this case fight for you.
Argument against this by people:
Saying " Hey its part of his arsenal, so its his power" is pure childish. You would have to be a 5th grader to believe that. If you do not understand the difference between having something on your side , and your own power.. then i cannot help you.
It sure in hell is part of his arsenal, but Naruto is part of Toad Sage Ma's arsenal.. so shes top 5? no.
Many will also try to say that " Kabuto controls them".. However they do not know that there are different kinds of "controls".
- By manipulating
- By being the leader
- By casting a illusion
So this is the conclusion to Edo tensei.
KUCHIYOSE NO JUTSU:
Also, known as "summoning Jutsu". (Edo tensei is also part of this technique).
This technique, is used for summoning : People , tools, Animals, or other things.
But whats misunderstood about this technique is that its used to SUMMON.. not to fight for you. The "fighting" depends on the thing you summon.
The summoning jutsu itself is your power.. but that does not necessarily mean the thing you summoned is your power.
Animal summoning:
"The contract comes in the form of a scroll, on which the contractor uses their own blood to sign their name and place their fingerprints and once signed it is valid even after the contractors death as long as the contract itself remains intact."
Animal summoning only occurs due to a contract between 2 living things. Since when is another living being considered part of your own power (unless it lives inside your own body)?
Summons that are your own power:
- Tools (Puppets/Scrolls/ Weapons)
- The Gashoumon gate summons (sorry if i misspelled it), or any sort of summons like that.
Hope this changed your mind. If your gonna post without reading a part or the full post. Then i will simply re-post this post as a reply. If your gonna go against this, then have some good arguments.
