So, these are the methods we'll cover.

Method 1: Basic Projectiles
Method 2: Fire Streams/Constant Fire
Method 3: Alternative Releases
Method 4: Specific Combos

As the name of the first method suggests, do you have a general idea what a "projectile" is?

Yeah, a projectile is something that is thrown. So I'm guessing in the context of fire, it is a Jutsu that is thrown at the opponent which travels in a straight path. Once it leaves the user, it is not in their control anymore, so the Jutsu will be vulnerable and can also be dodged with more ease unless it is perhaps at close range. It also travels in a straight path, making it kind of predictable. But then, it does not require the user to keep adding chakra to it, so the user can perform another technique right after performing the projectile one. That would be good for distractions.

You're almost right. But projectiles needn't always travel in a linear path. They can follow various paths. But you can't change their paths midway, unless connected by a string, or if natural wind plays any role, etc.

Now, tell me the advantages and disadvantages of projectiles on the basis of what you said about projectiles.

I see.

Well, advantages would be that the user does not need to constantly fuel chakra to the technique. That will allow them to perform another technique right after that one leaves them, and it can be made to follow closely behind the first technique. Projectiles would work well in short range and as well as in distractions.

Disadvantages are that since it leaves the user, it is out of their control. It is vulnerable to forces such as extreme winds or rain. The Jutsu can not be further manipulated to change direction unless it is held by strings, so it would make it predictable.

Correct.

Advantages Of Projectiles

Techniques in this category are quick releases, designed to attack in short to long range scenarios against big single targets, with normal movement speed. Just like projectiles, once they leave your hand it frees you up to attack again with more projectiles or even other types of techniques. Techniques in this category allow for you to launch several shots in succession in most cases allowing you to barrage your opponents from several different angles possibly or use them as a distraction or ploy to force them in directions that would be beneficial to you. Large enough projectiles will make it difficult for your opponents to avoid, but not impossible. There can be issues with visibility, allowing you to block your opponent's vision while you plot a sneak attack. However visibility aspect is a double edged sword in most cases. You won't necessarily be able to see them unless you have sensory abilities. These techniques are better used in closer distances to disable both the ability to dodge and counter but also to make full use of the speed of these projectiles. The closer you are, the less time they have to hit the opponent.

Disadvantages

Though quick in release, once projectiles are released you have no control over them. It's generally the same in every case with projectile based weaponry minus attachments like wire that allow you control. However in the case of chakra based projectiles like these, after exhaling exit from the point of release there is no real control over the projectiles. The direction you've launched is where it will go and it could be very easy to avoid them with basic techniques that could move you out of the line of fire, like Earth Release Technique or the popular hurricane fist into the air. There is the problem of the rapid fire projectiles. As said previously, as you're allowed to fire multiple shots from certain techniques, yet they don't all have the power of that particular rank, their collective power combined = the rank of the technique as a whole. What this means is, as you divide the projectiles into several shots, they considerably get weaker allowing for your opponent to exploit the weakness. Some techniques may converge at a single point (usually the target) so that they may not be able to avoid harm by just attacking individual shots, there is still that possibility. Those who try to cover a wider range with more projectiles will leave themselves at a disadvantage. The opponent can protect just their frontal or the area of where they're attacking by using weaker attacks protect against individually weaker fireballs or fire projectiles. Another big disadvantage is this method is that these techniques aren't very prone to combos with other techniques, especially those of other elements. The projectiles are generally so compressed and dense that they explode on contact, preventing them from melting or heating earth that could be used in a combo with them. The sheer concept of a projectile makes it less prone to be comboed with wind or lightning as the projectiles would require insane precision to be comboed with a wind or lightning technique. Projectiles aren't also very usable with water for the same reason as earth as the projectiles would simply "rupture" and not deliver its effect due to the small time in contact with the combo technique. The main disadvantages are that projectiles are fast yes, but less versatile in combat and for the most part, easy to defend
Any questions?

The fireball ignites externally. The fire ball can present itself in 2 forms: it can either be created by a stream of fire and sustained as a gigantic ball of flames in front of the user spanning up to short range or be released as a slightly smaller ball of fire which will travel towards the enemy up to mid range.

In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction. I think this one is a projectile, but it can be manipulated?

Due to the chakra-based nature of the flames that surround them, the shuriken will continue to burn after impact, regardless of the flammability of the object that they ultimately collide with.

( Katon: Hinotama no Mai ) - Fire Release: Fireball Dance
Rank: B
Type: Offensive

Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the hand seal Tiger the user compresses a large amount of chakra built up inside their body, before instead expelling it in the form of a number of dragon head-shaped fireballs. The user then skilfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. The temperature of the created flames is so great that, even with the briefest of contact, they are capable of easily burning human flesh and the fireballs are dense enough to behave almost as solid, being able to deliver impact damage in adition to the fire damage. Interesting, seems like I've added too many extra. Lemme see...

(Katon: Kaen Shuriken Ranbu ) - Fire Release: Blazing Shuriken Dance
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will throw several shuriken infused with fire at the enemy and then, through a mental command, ignites them to cause extra damage.

You added this one because the Shuriken are thrown as projectiles. When I was making the list before, I was also thinking that maybe I should add this, but because it says that they ignite through a mental command, I left it. Because then, it does not follow the rule of a projectile that another Jutsu can be performed since the user will still need to concentrate on it whilst it is in the air.

( Katon: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Mist Blaze Dance Technique
Rank: D
Type: Offense/Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Tiger, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball.

This was removed because it is blown, so I'm assuming it is a stream then. And it will only take effect when it comes into contact with fire.

( Katon: Karyūdan ) - Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user exhales a flame breath from their mouth after making the tiger hand seal. This technique can be used in conjunction with Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet to ignite the projectiles fired by the latter technique, making it more devastating.

Removed because it is a stream. I had originally made the assumption that it was a projectile due to the combo with earth projectiles, but now I realise that the stream just ignites the earth projectiles. Although, how can another technique be performed at the same time when it is a stream then? Are the earth bullets fired first since they are slower than fire?

( Katon: Honoo no Saigai Hi Kagayaku no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame of Disaster Fire Shine Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user releases a flame of fire chakra that converges on the opponent wrapping around them and burning them.

Removed because it is not a projectile but I don't know why. I guess I can't picture this one. It might be a stream, but I'm not sure. I had originally assumed that the user sends a flame of chakra which would be like a projectile that wraps around the target when in contact with them.

( Katon: Hinotama no Mai ) - Fire Release: Fireball Dance
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will attack the opponent with a series of slashes with their sword and then finish up with jumping into the air above the target and releasing a powerful fireball down upon them.
Note: Requires a Sword.

I really though this was a projectile since a fireball is released. But I guess not then... Probably because it requires a sword? Not sure though.

(Katon: Hokori Tenka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Dust Ignition Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will first ignites a flame of fire across the ground infront of them and then they will enhance that fire with a gust of wind to extend the range of the fire

I could not picture this one well either, so I guess it was removed because it is actually a stream that travels along the ground and not a projectile.

(Katon: Ryūen Hōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Dragon Flame Release Song Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the hand seal Tiger the user compresses a large amount of chakra built up inside their body, before instead expelling it in the form of a number of dragon head-shaped fireballs. The user then skilfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. The temperature of the created flames is so great that, even with the briefest of contact, they are capable of easily burning human flesh and the fireballs are dense enough to behave almost as solid, being able to deliver impact damage in adition to the fire damage. However, this also means that they can be deflected as a solid projectiles.

I thought these were projectiles too since they are fireballs, but they are probably not as they get manipulated.

Eh, the user then "skillfully manipulates it" is just some fancy stuff added to the description. Basically, they're just solid projectiles with very high temperature.
And, the Fireball Dance is a Tai+Katon move, so it would fall under method 4.
And Flame Bullet is purely used after Earth Dragon Bullet, so it depends on another jutsu, hence again method 4.
Dust Ignition, is a combo jutsu, Wind+Fire in one jutsu slot, so it wouldn't fall under this method, also it's a stream.

Oops, Dragon Flame Release Song Tech should be in method 1. I must've derped. Since, most of the jutsus were already covered by Shady, and Tybone, I'll only teach you those jutsus of method 1, which are remaining.

(Katon: Gōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Hellfire Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and breath out from their mouth a large fireball that travels at the opponent. As it reaches the opponent it bursts into a maelstrom of fire engulfing them in flames.

Quite straightforward. You gather your fire chakra in your mouth and exhale out a large fireball from your mouth. Again, the special part about this technique is due to the compression of chakra, and the amount of chakra input, once the fireball reaches your opponent, it turns into a giant maelstrom of fire. Excellent for combos. The only downside is that, since the fireball is large, you can't see your opponent and vice versa. One of my favorite Fire jutsus. Just fire off the fireball, and move on to another technique, so that the opponent doesn't escape the impact of the fireball.

The temperature of the created flames is so great that, even with the briefest of contact, they are capable of easily burning human flesh and the fireballs are dense enough to behave almost as solid, being able to deliver impact damage in addition to the fire damage. However, this also means that they can be deflected as a solid projectiles.

This was shown by Edo Madara in the manga. You weave one handsign and gather a large amount of Fire chakra in your body, and you compress it very highly, after which you channel it to your mouth, shape manipulating the fire to give it the shape of several dragon shaped fireballs. Now, these fireballs have extreme temperatures, and can melt flesh by even a slight touch. Along with delivering the usual burning damage, they also cause impact damage, due to possessing a certain solidity to them. This is quite excellent, as you can barrage your opponent by these solid projectiles, but they can be deflected, since they're solid in nature. As usual, you can use a Wind jutsu to augment the already super intense flames. Or combine it with another Fire technique, which would be pretty deadly.

(Katon: Gōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Hellfire Technique

Analysis: This is a projectile technique which is used for pure offensive purposes. This seems similar to that other Jutsu I just learnt that makes a fire storm because of how it becomes a maelstrom of fire, except it bursts without coming into contact I guess. Anyways, it is performed by exhaling in air and kneading chakra in the stomach, superheating it to make Katon chakra. It is also greatly condensed. This chakra travels to the lungs and then to the mouth, where it is released from the mouth. The user shape manipulates it to make a fire ball, and breathes it out towards the target. It bursts into a maelstrom of fire as it draws close to the target, burning them and also destroys the surrounding area. This Jutsu can be enhanced by using it alongside a wind Jutsu.

Advantages: This Jutsu is in the shape of a large fireball. This makes for a good surprise attack as the target will think it is just an ordinary fireball, and will not realise that it will actually burst into a maelstrom of fire as it nears them. The target might even think it is a low ranking technique and counter with a low ranking technique. Also, this does not require any hand seals, so it has a fast rate of execution. This technique is excellent for combos, especially with wind. Since the fireball is large, it will block the view of the target when it is in front of them, so a second attack can be coming, and they won't notice it. Although, the target will also be hidden from the users view, so the user would just be making an assumption that the target is still behind the fire, when they could have sneaked off somewhere. Also, this Jutsu is probably better to use in short range rather than mid range to have more of an effect.

Disadvantages: One is what I just described above. The target can take advantage of the fact that they cannot be seen, and hide from the user, attacking when they see fit. And if used in mid range, the target may counter it before it bursts into a maelstrom of flames since it has a straight line path, being a projectile after all.

Ways to counter:
1- Use an armor of earth to shield from it.
2- Use a water Jutsu.

So, how will this fireball erupt exactly when it comes close to the target? It is a projectile, not a stream, so how would it erupt just by itself?

(Katon: Ryūen Hōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Dragon Flame Release Song Technique

Analysis: Another offensive technique, although this one can reach up to long range. It is performed by making the Tiger hand seal and gathering a large amount of chakra, converting it into fire chakra. This chakra is very condensed and as it is released from the mouth, the user shape manipulates it to form the shape of several dragon head shaped fireballs. They are aimed at the opponent, and can be used in conjunction with another technique like wind or fire to make it stronger.

Advantages: This technique is so hot that with very small contact, the opponent will be burnt very severely. Also, these fireballs are solid, so when they hit the target, they burn as well as give impact injury. With a direct hit, the target will be left in quite a severe condition, probably death.

Disadvantages: Since it has a solid nature to it, the opponent can deflect it with a technique of their own, and then these deflected fireballs can come shooting back at the user. They will then have to counter their own technique. Also, if this technique is used at long range, the opponent may be able to dodge it easily. So, I would use it as a second technique, coming right after a technique so the opponent may not notice it until it is right next to them, when it may be too late.

Ways to counter:
1- Use a B-Rank water technique, could also be a water shield.
2- Use an A-Rank earth wall to block it.

You don't need to use any template. Just write everything in a single paragraph. I just need analyzation. No need of bullshit, long-ass templates, which drain out a student. Just re-do it again.

The fireball erupts by itself, because the chakra is super compressed inside it. When it nears the enemy, the compressed chakra is released automatically as a blast of fire. Meaning, once it reaches upto a certain distance, the compressed chakra is released. It's possibly a game jutsu, hence the weird logic.

I see, so the fireball explodes after a certain amount of time and distance then.

This technique is high ranking, and so does cause a lot of damage. It is also a very offensive technique, one which has a reach of up to mid range. When molding the chakra for this technique, it is very condensed, as this fireball will explode. Since this is just one fireball, it is large, and so it will also have a lot of force within it. As it nears the opponent, the fireball will explode without having to come into contact with anything. This technique is pretty good to surprise an opponent, as they would not know that this fireball would erupt into a maelstrom of fire, especially as it has no hand seals to warn them, also making it fast to perform. Thus, they may counter it with a low ranking technique. This technique can be enhanced with a wind Jutsu, and it also destroys the surrounding area around the target. However, since the fireball is big, it will block the visions of both the user and the opponent. The opponent can also take advantage of this and hide somewhere. And, if this technique is used in mid range without any distractions to the target, it can be countered before bursting into a maelstrom of flames.

This one can reach up to long range instead of mid. The chakra for this is again compressed, as it makes the fireballs dense. Since this one does not just use one fireball and uses a few, the more fireballs that are made, the weaker each one will become. But more will probably be a good way to confuse the opponent whilst one will be more powerful but predictable in its course and easier to counter. Only requiring one hand seal this technique is pretty fast to perform. The user also shape manipulates the fire into dragon head shaped fireballs. I'm not sure what the significance of manipulating it into that shape is though. This technique is pretty strong by itself, as even with a slight contact, the targets flesh will be burnt. But when used in conjunction with another technique, this technique becomes quite deadly indeed. And since they are solid, they will also deal impact damage on the target. The downfall with this technique though would be that due to their solidity, the target can deflect it, and if its trajectory is turned around, then the user would be be needing to counter their own technique. And if used at long range, the target will counter it with not much hardship, unless it is used after a technique.

Good. Keep up those replies.

(Katon: Gōkakyū Hitoame no Jutsu)Fire Release: Great Fireball Shower
Type: Offensive
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description:
Kneading his chakra and then converting it to fire, the user will do the Horse → Tiger → Snake → Ram hand seals as he inhales, exhaling into the sky a multitude of great fireballs (up to 8) at the same time which then rain down on the target from above causing severe, widespread damage around the field. These fireballs have explosive and concussive abilities, similar to other fire techniques.

Another canon technique. Edo Madara followed this after using his strongest fire jutsu. Pretty much self-explainable. You convert your fire chakra to actual fire, and then weave 4 handseals, inhaling a good amount of oxygen. You then spit out several giant fireballs from your mouth at the sky in such an arc that they rain down on your target, with tremendous speed and force. Once more, before spitting, you condense your chakra at one singular point, for each of the fireballs, and shape manipulate to give them a solid form. The fireballs can pretty much clear out a giant area at once, causing pure destruction as they go, and form gigantic craters. You can use this against Mokuton users to destroy entire forests at once. However, since they take some time to come down on your target, he can easily escape the area.

(Katon: Bakuryūgeki) - Fire Release: Exploding Dragon Strike
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user through use of one their scrolls will summon a large flame dragon that is directed towards the enemy target and explodes upon impact.

An old game jutsu. You take out a special scroll and infuse your fire chakra within the scroll. Then, you summon or materialize a giant flaming dragon through shape manipulation, which is then directed towards your opponent. This again has explosive properties, and is quite deadly in short range, given it's sheer size and might. The explosion doesn't harm the user, but if you're too close to your opponent, like barely 1m from them, then don't expect that you'll survive it's aftermath.

(Katon Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Hitora Bakufu) - Fire Release Summoning Technique: Fire Tiger Explosion
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user summons a tiger made of flames from a scroll, directing it towards the target, and attaching itself onto the target and explode causing massive damage on detonation making it similar to a paper bomb.

I'll let you explain this one for me, as it's quite similar to the above.

(Katon: Gōkakyū Hitoame no Jutsu)Fire Release: Great Fireball Shower

As an S-Rank, it is one of the three most powerful techniques in the fire Jutsus, but it also consumes a lot of chakra. This is the only S-Rank which has a long range. These high ranking Jutsus should be used with care, or else they will just use up chakra at the same time being effective. Timing plays a bit role in utilizing it in battle. This Jutsu requires the performance of four hand seals, and if the opponent has learnt it, then they can predict the attack as they will be familiar with it. Again, since these fireballs will have explosive properties, they are formed through very condensed chakra. The user then aims them into the sky, after which they will fall on the user and on the surrounding area. The user must be careful not to be in the same vicinity as the fireballs or they too will be caught in it. But with all this, it's evident that this technique takes a while to perform, since first hand seals have to be made. Then the user has to exhale the fireballs into the air, making it even longer. Also, when the user tilts their head up, the opponent is not going to just stand there watching the user prepare the attack. They will most likely attack at that time! Anyways, as the fireballs come down, they come down with a lot of force and speed due to gravitational forces. Since this technique covers a widespread area, it would be hard to defend from. But since it takes a while to perform, the opponent can take advantage of that and flee. So if I was to use it, I would use it either when the target is preoccupied with another technique, or when I am not easily seen. Of course, even if I was hiding, the target would be alerted to the whereabouts of the user after seeing the fireballs shoot up though. Also, I noticed that this technique seems like a preparation to Kirin. The opponent may think the user is using Kirin, and may automatically use a water technique to submerge the fireballs whilst they are shooting up.

Since these fireballs will be in the air, can the opponent use a strong wind Jutsu to make the fireballs rain down on the user instead?

(Katon: Bakuryūgeki) - Fire Release: Exploding Dragon Strike

Another S-Rank, it is also incredibly powerful, although this time it is mid ranged. Just like the other two in its set, it is also offensive and requires a lot of chakra to be used. It seems like a lot of the higher ranking techniques involve explosions. U_U So, it would again require the chakra to be very condensed. This technique needs a scroll which the user infuses their fire chakra with. Shape manipulation is then used to summon a large flaming dragon. This dragon is then aimed at the target, and upon contact, it explodes onto the target. The user must make sure they are not too close to the target at that time, or they too will be caught up in it. It is best used in short range, as the opponent will have very little time to react, and it is deadly if it hits the target. I'm not sure if a wind Jutsu can be used alongside it though, because it might ruin the shape. Also, since there are no hand seals required, it is fast to perform. But the downside is that the opponent may be alerted at what type of technique it is after seeing the scroll.

(Katon Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Hitora Bakufu) - Fire Release Summoning Technique: Fire Tiger Explosion

This technique is similar to the previous one, as it is in the same rank, has the same range, and requires a scroll. It also has explosive properties, so the chakra is condensed. Instead, this one just uses a different shape manipulation. It is manipulated into the shape of a tiger instead of a dragon. Of course, this is after the user infuses their condensed fire chakra into the scroll. Once the tiger has been made, it is aimed at the target, and it latches itself onto the target. When it detonates, it explodes on the target, killing them in the process. I think it would be quite effective to use this technique if the opponent is bound and can not move. There are Ninjutsu techniques for that.

No, that would be weird. The wind would augment the fireballs.

With this, we're done with projectiles, i.e method 1.

Now's time for the second method.

Method 2: Fire Streams/Constant Fires

What do you think a "stream" is?
