I personally think that it's Izuna using Obito's body via Living Corpse Reincarnation (Oro's immortality tech). I also think that Izuna was originally using Kagami's body after Madara revived him, burned out his eyes because Kagami was too old, and then moved on to Obito's body
I also think that Obito and Shisui were brothers, and that Izuna was originally planning on taking Shisui's eyes and body to unlock EMS and not have such a disfigured body, but Shisui ruined his plan
But that's just my opinion, I don't feel like backing it up atm. I just wanted to get it out there for now

Here's an idea about Tobi. I wonder if he was created by the So6p by using the creation of all things technique? This would maybe make him the original zetsu? I think this would explain how he knows so much about the sage and his kids.
I think maybe the sage was trying to create someone to help keep the peace between his kids. Thus Tobi is simply trying to fulfill the sage's wish to have peac in the world.
So Tobi really is "no one" because he isn't a person.
I think Tobi is also able to assimilate body parts from dead people into his body in order to become stronger. Ie I think he has obito's eye (possibly half his body).

Tobi is a hybrid made by Madara and Orochimaru, he's been given Uchiha DNA, Zetsu DNA and Senju DNA. and the other Zetsu is simply a way for Madara to keep and Eye on Tobi and make sure he follows the plan.
At some point in time Orochimaru found Madara when ? right before the Nine tails attack Orochimaru left. Madara being an Uchiha Legend who is now very old and on his death bed Madara offered Orochimaru all the knowledge he has about life and the So6P in exchange for helping him with his plans including reviving him later on and destroying Konoha Hence Orochimaru began learning about Edo tensei and such in hopes of perfecting it.
Madara ofcourse had his Rinnegan eyes before he died, knowing that he still hasn't mastered/uncovered the secrets of Edo tensei they decided to make a somewhat of a Madara clone who is capable to survive and make Madara come back to life. so they made Tobi.
•This might explain how Madara realized he was brought back using Edo tensei, and wondered who Kabuto was and that he's the assistant of Orochimaru NOT TOBI. Does Kabuto respect Tobi that much to call himself his Assistant, or better yet does he really think Tobi is more powerful than him to be called his assistant, we all know how much Kabuto is loyal to Oro

Tobi felt that as long as Madara's dead and that Itachi took care of Orochimaru, no one can stop him now, he was very releaved about Itachi's death, but I do think it was more of Orochimaru getting sealed by Itachi. OR not because of Itachi's strength but that now Sasuke the one he CAN manipulate will have Itachi's Eyes therefore have the Tsukuyomi which he will need for his infinite Tsukuyomi.
*How will he make Sasuke do it ? , remember when Tobi said he needed Sasuke for the Gedo Mazu, well he only needed his eyes. or the Tsukuyomi eye. the Gedo Mazo only have one Eye, so IMO it makes sense.

Ok..*takes breath*.First off if you believe Obito...and Tobi..That one guy with the mask? Are the same? You can dismiss yourself from this thread now. It's impossible simply because Madara Edo Uchiha actually knows who Mask Man is..OBITO was not born in the Madara era at all! You NB'ers can wipe the sweat now, to business. I'm starting with putting down my knowledge of Naruto. I am very thorough and do extensive research and waiting to say anything about anything in Naruto. I believe Setsuna Uchiha could easily be Tobi i'll make it easy. Before you read, YES..You can sometimes base who another person is off of looks or types of jutsu (keyword sometimes)
Why?
- Facial structure, I looked over the Konan fight when the mask was broken and compared faces to him and Setsuna. Hair and eyebrows and beginning stages of eye aging under Setsuna's eye in the wiki pic and in the manga. Very similar.
- He was against the Second Hokage from the get go for always assuming the Uchiha were up to something which eventually spoke into truths. Kagami on the other hand was actually apart of Tobirama's damn team! So someone that looks similar that is for the 2nd? or someone that looks similar that is against the 2nd?
-They said Setsuna dies, but anything is very possible in the Manga up to this point. Just how they say Kagami dies but yet NB'ers resurrect him through their mind constantly and write threads about it.
- Setsuna being from the first generation could be a candidate for Tobi because Tobi has extensive knowledge of his clan, senjus, ninja history, OLD fuinjutsu techniques, if he stayed alive up until the latest chapter.
- Est. relationships - Madara Uchiha (therefore could possibly know Izuna and other old clansmen from 1st Uchiha generation), Kakashi Hatake, Gai Sensei, Danzo Shimura. He knows a wide variety of ninja branched through many generations already. add any if I missed.
- Setsuna and masked man have the same style of dress and the weapon sash, and random face mask.
- For the people that say it couldn't be Setsuna just becasue he is so random and far removed..Why wouldn't it make sense to make it some one far fetched and inconspicuous? Just because he looks
low-level uchiha" wth does that even mean..
- Setsuna could have survived this long due to different jutsu he already knows. He replaced his arm after the Konan fight right? exactly.
- His sharingan are is his own. Not Obitos. When he fought Konan it was revealed that he clearly had 2 sharingan. Wether they are original we don't know but I will say they are. As far as the kamui dimension stuff, No one even REALLY knows if it is his eyes or a jutsu he is using to de-materialize and send objects back and forth. BUT one thing is certain that it is not Obitio's eyes. The boy was clearly crushed on the right side let him rest lol
- He had an ORIGINAL copy of the Senju armistice treaty from shinobi world war 1, that he showed Sasuke after the Itachi v. Sasuke fight. SIGNED BY THE UCHIHA CLAN! Sooo..How could Obitio..Dead Obitio come into possession of such a document? oh through his unmentioned Dad Kagami I forgot -_-
- Everyone is forgetting he is able to use Rinnengan. But we don't know if he has senju blood or using 1st cells. hmmmm?
- Remember this, Madara attacked the leaf with the 9tails, then a second attack from masked man years later. Madara died between that time and he was already previously working with Masked Man before his death because they both know of the transplant of rinnengan to Nagato!

I Already mentioned this in a theard and now i found this one thanks to some user who helped me out. 4 Points to mention~ why i think it could be obito
1. Madara & Tobi know each other, and if its Obito the only way he got so strong and has so much information, is because of Madara. He just formed him into a strong Shinobi. Madara was alive at and after the 3th Shinobi World War. [Madara called Nagato a Brat, so he was the one who gave him his Rinnegan]. Would also explain why tobi is able to fight with madaras Fan that well~
2. Tobi/Obito Ability is the Same as Kakashis but just improved. Why, because he is an Uchiha. Bloodline pwrz y know~ Madara for sure helped Tobi to get this power at this level.
3. Tobi/Obitos Motivation. You may ask, wtf, why should he do this shit? I can tell u. There are 2 Things that are still unclear, but could gave us a reason. First Rin, what happend to her? Maybe she searched for his body, and found madara + Zetsu tryin to ressurect him. Madara has got the Rinnegan so no Problem, to revive Obito, even if he died in that particular of time crushed by the rocks. Maybe Madara killed her, or she died by an enemy we dont know, but it may affect Obitos Opinion of beeing a Shinobi, of War und Peace. I think Madara also did his job, by showing him how curel war was. So he told Tobi/Obito of his Moon Eye Plan. I think Madaras intention was to Rule the World this way, but Tobi/Obito maybe wanted something else like he told us, about unity and a Live without regrets bla bla...that could be the reason why after Madara died Tobi did not revive him. He wanted to use this Moon Eye Plan for his intentions and not for madaras. So why should Tobi fear Madara? I mean wtf does he care about identity, thats not the thing. He feared him because, if Madara found out Tobi/Obito didnt went according to his Plan, everthing Tobi started would be a goner. Cuz well u see Madara is just...he is Madara thats enough to be feared of him xD (Troll Kishi, makin him more unbeatable)
4. Well, we know Tobi is an Uchiha. So Guys, which Uchiha do we know, that would need an artifical Body made of some Zetsu parts? Yep Obitos fits in this place better then any other Uchiha. If u think about why he got long hair in some parts... really its hair..even kakashis Hair has grown. As if Hair stays same over Periods. And if u know want to tell me about wrinkels and that he looks Old...i mean plz...Look at Tsunade she looks like 20 beein an old Hag already. Wrinkels could also be part of a facial deformation. Looks in Naruto is not a prove for an Characters Age. Also if u think Tobi seems to grown up when he faced minato for beein obito. Oh Come on. how tall is tobi 1,75 m? Obito died at Age of 13 beein a bit taller then kakashi. 2- 3 Years Later. Kakashi seems to be 1,70m (without calculating his hair). So tell me for Someone who is 16 is it really that unusual to be 1,75m tall? Not really i know a friend he was 15/16 and 1,85 m tall. Also think about beeing reconstructed by Madara/Zetsu they could made him a bit taller.

Kakashi himself has revealed that they are indeed using the same jutsu. This panel is from the latest chapter. If you still don't think Tobi & Kakashi are using the same jutsu, you are either trolling or you are in serious denial.
Since they both are indeed using Kamui this can only mean 2 things;

Madara has got the Rinnegan so no Problem, to revive Obito, even if he died in that particular of time crushed by the rocks. Maybe Madara killed her, or she died by an enemy we dont know, but it may affect Obitos Opinion of beeing a Shinobi, of War und Peace. I think Madara also did his job, by showing him how curel war was. So he told Tobi/Obito of his Moon Eye Plan. I think Madaras intention was to Rule the World this way, but Tobi/Obito maybe wanted something else like he told us, about unity and a Live without regrets bla bla...that could be the reason why after Madara died Tobi did not revive him. He wanted to use this Moon Eye Plan for his intentions and not for madaras. So why should Tobi fear Madara? I mean wtf does he care about identity, thats not the thing. He feared him because, if Madara found out Tobi/Obito didnt went according to his Plan, everthing Tobi started would be a goner. Cuz well u see Madara is just...he is Madara thats enough to be feared of him xD (Troll Kishi, makin him more unbeatable)
4. Well, we know Tobi is an Uchiha. So Guys, which Uchiha do we know, that would need an artifical Body made of some Zetsu parts? Yep Obitos fits in this place better then any other Uchiha. If u think about why he got long hair in some parts... really its hair..even kakashis Hair has grown. As if Hair stays same over Periods. And if u know want to tell me about wrinkels and that he looks Old...i mean plz...Look at Tsunade she looks like 20 beein an old Hag already. Wrinkels could also be part of a facial deformation. Looks in Naruto is not a prove for an Characters Age. Also if u think Tobi seems to grown up when he faced minato for beein obito. Oh Come on. how tall is tobi 1,75 m? Obito died at Age of 13 beein a bit taller then kakashi. 2- 3 Years Later. Kakashi seems to be 1,70m (without calculating his hair). So tell me for Someone who is 16 is it really that unusual to be 1,75m tall? Not really i know a friend he was 15/16 and 1,85 m tall. Also think about beeing reconstructed by Madara/Zetsu they could made him a bit taller.
I would like to hear your opinion. And if there are some problem with my theory that i have not seen yet. But i guess i already have cleared all of the unclear things, only the manga can now prove if im right or wrong
1) IF it's Obito. I highly doubt Madara would seek out a crushed Chunin-level Uchiha to fulfill his plans when, posessing the Rinnegan, he had so much more powerful assets at his disposal to revive. Who could Madara trust to fulfill his plans and who possessed a power similar to his own? His brother.
2) Like I keep repeating, Obito may not have been the only Uchiha to utilize S/T techs. Just because they are similar doesn't make them the same.

Tobi's right side obviously isn't Zetsu colored. I also agree with you about looks, but if you're going to compare height and weight, Tobi and Izuna's are practically the same according to the databook.
As a matter of fact I do think I'm right.... xd. I want to say "Yes, I do HONESTLY BELIEVE that out of EVERY Uchiha in history, Obito is the ONLY ONE that would have gained acess to S/T techs and this alternate dimension" but I can't because at 1 point many thought that only Itachi possesed the MS tech Susano'o....
Which is not the case anymore seeing as not only did Sasuke have the ability but so did Madara. What I will say is that out of all the named Uchiha & Uchiha clan members shown he is the ONLY 1.

1. Yeah i know, but think about a situation, where u are nearly death and need someone to do your job, or revive u. So as an Uchiha i guess Madara is a good contrast to obito, so better raise one to a top shinobi, as time passes on to have someone who will complete your plan. I think he didnt had much of a choice.
2. Well the latest chapter showed us, that Kakashi and Tobi are using the Same Dimension, and well if ever MS Techs is unique this would mean, that also this Dimension is unique. So it is already a 100% Prove, of beeing Obitos Eye, still it also can be someone using Obitos Eye, but u cannot recall this as an invalid arguement. I know u may say Amaterasu, Tsukyomi or Sasuno are not unique. Yes they are not, but i think this thechniques are mostly free for all MS users, but if u look at Shisui Tech, an Kakashis/Tobis...u can see that it is impossbile to gain this ability as an Uchiha without having the genes. Maybe it has something to do with near blood relation. But like we saw, that Sasuke has the ability to use Kagetsuchi/ an erase Ametarasu, thats something Itachi could not do~
