To the ppl who think tobi is obito then please explain how obito could have know about the jinchuurika female weakness about the seal and how he would get past konoha barrier and learn to control the 9tails by just looking it!
And for ppl who think its danzo and obito then how did danzo got his sharingan to control 9tails,if i remember right hes right eye was shisuis and he got it couple days before uchiha massacre and that hapened bout 6 or 7 year later from 9 tail attack. And as tobi said about danzo "you really tried to control the 9tails" and in the anime tobi have same voice past and at the present so he need to be 1person.
Imo there is 3 person who can be tobi:
1: Kagami uchiha. Doesnt rly need explanations, he would be the only one who know how to bypass the barrier and only one who would got the info bout female jinchuurikas and the birth place for jinchuurikas and he would be alive when madara was alive. Dust explained good about the name as kagami=mirror and it seems like tobi is using mirror dimension.
2:Izuna. Pretty much only one who madara would trust hes life,plan and he would have been around to know stuff about uchiha and ninjaworld,maybe izuna was the more peaceful person than madara (what seems more like a person who wants to fight than peace) and got sick all bout the wars and wanted to make peace by himself by creating moon eye plan. One thing that i dont know how izuna would have info about the feemale jinchuurika seal,since when it was first discovered it happen in konoha and i bet izuna wasnt there.
3:Some random from konoha village who have been around to see madara and all the ninjawars.

After being more convinced from some of the main theories (could have been elder son of So6P, Izuna, Kagami... never Obito 
), I finally got my theory and opinion about Tobi's identity: Tobi IS actually MADARA.
Think about this: we were all sure that Tobi was Madara until Edo-Madara was revived. We were immediatly brought to the conclusion that Tobi wasn't Madara. What if were wrong? Who tells us it's impossible that Tobi could really be Madara?

In order for tobi to be madara, kishi must have been watchin harry potter too much, his soul have been split. Since madara revived by edi tensei and soul resides in underworld, clearly madara is DEAD. Not sure if anyone ever thought that Tobi is Yamato. He is a clone but maybe he is or was working with madara He would have been born in the era of the 4th and have the 1st DNA even though he is supposedly younger then Kakashi (No proof of this he could be older) he was in ANBU with him. he could have been double agent for Danzo / Orochimaru the clone experiements have yet to be revealed and i think that is the secret that will give us many answers. He was Tenzou before Yamato he has the same build and even though we know him we know almost nothing about his time before team 7 except that Oro kidnapped him with many children and then abandoned him. His parents who are they. could they be Uchiha. we don't know and it is very possible that he has been holding a contempt this whole time getting info on konoha and using clones to be in more than one place at a time like Zetsu's but a more complete version of them. there is more ways to work this theory and alot of holes that i would have to work out but give it a thought. Now i know what you are thinking. what about the "I gave Nagato his eyes thing". not sure what to say honestly. the only thing i can think of is if Tobi makes up 3 or 4 different people Madara the real one, Yamoto, and possibly Danzo himself. Now what i mean to say is that DNA was taken to produce Tobi from madara and Danzo/and or 1st hokage and injected in Yamoto. which is why tobi who says he is nobody identifies himself as madara at times. Is it possible that Yamoto was never kidnapped and that madara found oro and danzo and plotted this whole thing out with tobi as there fail safe ninja to carryout the plans. The main thing here is Who was Yamoto before he was given the 1st DNA.

for those who say tobi=son of so6p:
it was said that hashirama and madara were descendants of 2 sons of so6p.
if one of them is alive why not the 2nd too? i doubt he would be just sitting somewhere eating ramen instead of countering or constantly fighting his brother..... i strongly believe both of them are loooong dead.
i remember tobi saying 6 paths of the sage are those with both uchiha and senju powers... he mentioned taking senju powers from hashirama and becoming one of them, nagato was another with uzumaki blood and rinnegan, danzo who implanted sharingans and senju dna was incomplete form.
we never saw tobi using wood style or anything other than summoning and warping.... coould he be a path of madara?? he himself said that he was a shell of his former self in kages meeting.
uchiha kagami was almost equally as old as 3rd hokage, cant see him as tobi.the part of his face we saw when he battled konan dint look so old or did it?

Tobi said during the fight with the 1st it wasn't for a battle it was to aquire his powers. If we look at the revived version of Madara (note kabuto said he was able to revive a "Prime Version" of madara) we can see that he indeed did aquire the 1st power when the head came out.
With that being said we can assume Madara Revived and Tobi are one just like the black and white Zetsu.
Zetsu even looks like Tobi without a mask. So Tobi just wants to be complete again as he has stated so he's probably been trying to find a way to get his body back. With the 1st cells implanted in him he should easily be able to merge with his "Prime Body" which now has the awakened Rinnegan as well. It just seems irrelevant for Tobi to lie about everything up to this point since everything except who he has has been proven as a fact up until now.

Could be, yes. My claim Tobi IS Madara is based on the assumption that he found "a way" to survive to his decaying body. That's a possibility since we're talking of a manga where people can be brought back from the dead, ninjas can create mountains, etc. etc.
The way Madara "survived" is still unknown but I hope it will be revealed soon.
Even Totsuka Blade was supposed to have taken Orochimaru for long, but surprise! He's back. I'm also sure Orochimaru had a lot to do with Tobi/Madara.
Btw, this mystery is going to be unfolded soon.
Just a thought while watching DBZ music video, maybe Tobi is Madara, just like in the Majinboo saga, when the fat Boo released the pure evil Boo when his dog died (the Boo that became the final villain) Goku wish that Boo will be reincarnated then after 10 years, tada he is back as Oob the papaya man with completely different personality and during the ssj4 saga, the fat Boo merged with Oob so he can be complete again. But that's just a random idea i have better than Tobi being the ramen guy.

Believe it or not......Tobi is Uchiha Madara.....U_U

My prediction is Tobi is just an experimented body who has got the sharingan of Uchiha Madara....Technically Tobi is Uchiha Madara.....he is controlled by the sharingan of Uchiha Madara...and that is why tobi and madara has the same plan.....There are couple of hints in manga saying that Tobi is Uchiha Madara.....
First is minato saying tobi is uchiha madara
Second is tobi himself saying he is uchiha madara
third is kisame saying he is uchiha madara
fourth is tobi said that Naruto resembles first hokage which he hate and respected the most.....in the tobi vs naruto battle.....he again mentioned..."that face..." i think at this time he was trying to say the face of first hokage....
in the latest movie road to ninja we have some hints pointing that he is Uchiha Madara....i don't want to ruin the plot.....so lets wait for the movie
Now i know Madara is dead and he was revived through edo tensai....but tobi is not completely madara....he has the sharingan of madara which controls his personality....but tobi can not perfect madara's ability...cause he does not have the suitable body to use his techniques....
And here is another prediction that might throw you off your chair.... Those Rinnegan are the very same rinnegan of the SO6P.....You will need sage(like uzumaki) body to unlock the rinnegan so i don;t think that madara was able to unlock the rinnegan before he died....

Tobi is probably no one else than Uchiha Madara, they share the same consciousness, thoughts, abilities, weapons, and the same goal.
The Main element to this would be that when Edo Madara was revived, he said that "Nagato has grown up", Tobi had stated earlier that Nagato's jutsu (the Rinnei Tensei) was meant for him. I believe Madara, the one that survived the fight against Hashirama had experimented on his own body by trying to split his consciousnesses similarly to the Second Tsuchikage. Even thought most of his body was "destroyed" he had ordained his consciousness in a new vessel which was a incomplete duplicate of himself. The Madara or "Tobi" still possessed great power, but could not use the EMS or Rinnengan because of the split powers. He had still kept his vengeance towards the Uchiha for betraying him, and had plans for controlling the kyubi. He had also collected many sharingan. Most of them probably during the Uchiha massacre, but he had been taking them much before them.
There's also a missing link between Tobi/Orochi/Danzo
It's apparent now that both Danzo and Orochi were trying to get the rinnengan. Experimenting and hypothesizing with Uchiha and Senju DNA to culminate and find out that the Edo Madara had the capability of using the rinnengan.

the new chapter was awesome it makes it feel like it could very well be obito but theres things that dont make sense. could tobi be lying in some of the things he says he clearly said he got the eye on that branndi brings (i think i said it right) but who else would know obito was there bc the boulders where already on top of him idk i think it could be obito or kagami but as for kagami we never seen him die nor his right of his body getting hurt and as for the fight with the 4th obito would of already been a teenager just like kakashi and gai and also of all the things he knows madara might of been alive during that time to tell obito everything
The newest chapter should pick back up to where Orochimaru is revived & is taken Sasuke somewhere, in time I believe. This most likely will be a real time flashback, showing how Tobi came to exist. We will see Danzou, Zetsu, Minato, Fugaku, Itachi, Shisui, Obito, Rin, & Kabuto in the next chapter if we're lucky....

I am not sure if i am allowed to put this thread here since there is already a sticky thread about obito but this thread its a bit of obito but more about kakashi and tobi.
Well I am sure most of you already read the latest chapter. who do you think is Tobi? To me its confusing I can't really say its Obito but from what I read NarutoBase friends it seemed like it could be Obito only because of the things that has been said in the chapter what does not make sense is the whole Tobi saying he got Obitos eye, If this is true than how the unknown man behind the mask knew where Obito's body was to began with? Could Zetzu have been there recording the fight? was zetzu even there during that time? was Madara was still alive during that time? We do not know this questions my friends.

Kakashi explaining the just I have to say my friends I already knew this because to be it was predictable along time ago. If it's not Obito and some unknown Shinobi did get Obito's eye how did the Unknown shinobi knew about the Jutsu that the Sharingan has/had? How did he find out how to use the Sharingan? All this questions need to be answered but I think in the next chapter we might get some Answers .
