So you are trying to say England never had a good side since 66? That's not really true our 86 and 90 sides were pretty good, we were especially unlucky in 1990. It went downhill after 1998 when shearer, gascoigne etc. quit. Our praised golden generation in the 2000's was utter garbage because they didn't want to play with each other... they put club over country. So we pretty much sucked ass for 20 years now and everyone knows it especially the english, so no we didn't come to the realization just now XD.
