True, true.
The bold part actually made me realize something: why doesn't the FBI or the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) give warnings first? If they already do or have done that, someone correct me. I'm new to this xD

I've tried downloading a torrent once, but didn't know how to work uTorrent lmao. I'm pitiful when it comes to those things. The only thing I do download are songs — movies, shows are all streaming.

And speaking of which, wasn't there a fuss over The Pirate Bay a few years ago? D:
xd Yeah they got arrested. And the site was never shut down lol. But you know by common sense, the FBI next target is that....they just looking for a good conspiracy.

No action (except ridiculing the senders) has been taken by us because of these. :)

Nice graphs for the law firms who don't get the hint above:

(we used to have a nice graph here, but it's simpler to just say: 0 torrents has been removed, and 0 torrents will ever be removed.)

I think it's safe to say that The Pirate Bay has inherited the Will of Fire

Let's hope this whole thing is one huge, early April fools' joke =DD

Lol just look at this Bs.

Usage policy for The Pirate Bay tracker system.

Our tracker system (hereby "the tracker") is free of charge for anyone for personal usage. Organisations (for instance, but not limited to, non-profit or companies) may use the system if they clear this with the system operators first. Permission for organisations/companies is not needed for obvious "well meaning" usage, i.e. distributing works of cultural benefit for the end user.

The tracker may not be used by anyone with the intention to track usage, log ip addresses/usage or anything else that we consider intrusion of privacy or disruption of tracker service. If you are not sure if this would be the case for your usage, please contact us in order to get our permission.

The tracker is run privately. That means that we do not guarantee that the tracker will be available for users at all time but we try our best to make the tracker run stable. We take no responsibility for loss of income or similar due to tracker downtime/failure.

The responsibility lies upon the user to not spread malicious, false or illegal material using the tracker.
We do not censor but we do block people that use our service wrongfully (i.e. commercial organisations that have not cleared the usage with us first).

We reserve the rights to charge for usage of the tracker in case this policy is violated. The charge will consist of a basic fee of EUR 5 000 plus bandwidth and other costs that may arise due to the violation.
Personal usage, although violating this policy, will not be charged. We will simply block those users.

We also reserve the rights to publish any information regarding violations. Info hashes, IP addresses and all other information that is supplied to the tracker
will be considered our right to publish.

This policy may change at any time, please check in before using the tracker.

Connecting to any of our trackers means that you accept this policy agreement.

The Pirate Bay is the worlds largest bittorrent tracker. Bittorrent is a filesharing protocol that in a reliable way enables big and fast file transfers.

This is an open tracker, where anyone can download torrent files. To be able to upload torrent files, write comments and personal messages one must register at the site. This is of course free.

The members at The Pirate Bay represents a broad spectrum of file sharers. Therefore material that seem offensive might be available. Do not contact us if there is anything you find offensive, instead focus on the material that you find positive. The Pirate Bay only removes torrents if the name isn't in accordance with the content. One must know what is being downloaded.

(accordance with the content also means any torrents which description is made to match a certain search phrase that is not relevant will also be deleted)

Only torrent files are saved at the server. That means no copyrighted and/or illegal material are stored by us. It is therefore not possible to hold the people behind The Pirate Bay responsible for the material that is being spread using the tracker. Any complaints from copyright and/or lobby organizations will be ridiculed and published at the site.

The Pirate Bay was started by the swedish anti copyright organization Piratbyrån in the late 2003, but in October 2004 it separated became run by dedicated individuals. In 2006 the site changed it's ownership yet again. Today the site is run by an organisation rather than individuals, though as a non-profit. The organisation is registered in the Seychelles and can be contacted using the contact form.

So people should not put there fate's in these ppl...Stop now people for your own good.

You have no idea what you are talking about. If you don't know your facts then don't talk (No offense) The FBI does not have time for such childish things as going after pirates. We have something more important called Terrorism? Ever heard of it.

What is the FBI?

The FBI is an intelligence-driven, threat-focused national security and law enforcement organization—the principal investigative arm of the U.S. Department of Justice and a full member of the U.S. Intelligence Community. It has the authority and responsibility to investigate specific crimes assigned to it and to provide other law enforcement agencies with cooperative services, such as fingerprint identification, laboratory examinations, and training. The FBI also gathers, shares, and analyzes intelligence—both to support its own investigations and those of its partners and to better understand and combat the security threats facing the United States. (Does it say anything about going after stupid ass pirates? NO)

What is the mission of the FBI?

The mission of the FBI is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners. It performs these responsibilities in a way that is responsive to the needs of the public and faithful to the Constitution of the United States. ( Once again United States)

What authority do FBI special agents have to make arrests in the United States, its territories, or on foreign soil?

In the U.S. and its territories, FBI special agents may make arrests for any federal offense committed in their presence or when they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed, or is committing, a felony violation of U.S. laws. On foreign soil, FBI special agents generally do not have authority to make arrests except in certain cases where, with the consent of the host country, Congress has granted the FBI extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Do you really think they will make an exception for downloading illegally?

SECOND they do not deal with this stuff The ESA. They run something called The World Wide Anti-Piracy Program. LOOK IT UP. So not only are you misinformed about who has the jurisdiction to do so. Don't give the FBI a bad name.
