You would expect that these books would be stored and treasured like Fairy Heart was and that at least the master knows where it is kept. This makes no sense.

The only way this could be saved is if it is stored behind a hidden panel or something like that where Mavis made some kind of secret stash or something along those lines.

No I'm just ridiculing what Lucy said this chapter and the fact that one of their most sacred guild secrets is apparently stored away in a random book, somewhere that not even Fairy Tail's book nerd doesn't know where it is.
