Not really sure what you mean with the latter as previously it has been translated as 'those four of Ishval are like divine beings' or the 'Four Gods of Ishval'. Now it got translated as the 'Four Heavenly Kings'. Not only is it quite common to use that kind of titles in manga series, Hiro has been doing it since Rave Master if I recall correctly.

The all knowing King, the King of heavens, All Seeing King, the all knowing lord, the lord of heavens, etc etc. God and the name in many languages can be translated and refered to in many ways. Heavenly Kings is actually a synonim more or less for Gods.

Though, I'm curious about this book of Zeref. We keep hearing about it, we saw it in this chapter but what exactly does it have? We've see many have used magic from it...did Zeref really put all his magic into a book?
