There was some relevant information that makes me think more about the Devil Slayer. If Tartaros has the Book of Zeref which creates demons and he is in Tartarus and he slays demons, the Devil Slayer may be a good guy or there is some crazy explanation that no one can predict for his status.

Yeah but I meant his spells. Like, why would an ubber powerful, super dupper dark mage put all his knowledge in a book knowing it would eventually find its way out of his hands? And why hasn't anyone copied it just in case? The purpose behind it is weird for me. Though I'm happy that the origins of FT are being developed and worked upon

You make a good argument but I wouldn't assume too much at this juncture. Yes, Silver could be one of the good guys if he's fighting devils/demons what have you. But that would only work if two things are applicable: 1) if Mashima paints a picture that all demons are evil - he probably won't and 2) if Silver or his retainers aren't after the Book of Zeref for their own diabolical reasons - in which case it's likely that's the only reason he's in Tartarus.
