Eh, I think minato can pull off a win, but it’s only in a 1 out of 10 scenario where itachi is slippin(which doesn’t really happen) if you take into consideration itachis possible time limits on susanoo(which he needs to use in order to use totsuka and yata) that might effect things a bit negatively for him, but not enough. Even as a fan of minato he has barely a small snowballs chance in hell of beating itachi unless(like I said) for some strange reason itachi is slippin

Itachi doesnt need his eyes to cast illusions; just a finger; no...not even that is required. Shukaku suspected Itachi's caliber could only cast illusions on the entire Shinobi Alliance; Ao who saw through KotoAmatsukami outright claimed he cant see through Itachi normal genjutsu let alone MS or Tsukiyomi. Call me when Minato sees through Kotoamatsukami, he might stand a chance then. Edo Itachi is faster than KCM Naruto's reaction speed.

This is a weakened Itachi, weaker than his deathbed state because of his Edo suppression. Edo Tensei doesn't give speed and reflexes which a shinobi lost because of a disease. This is the popular misconception that Edo was more advantageous to Itachi, which is wrong entirely. The disease which ate away at him and weakened his body. The results of the disease still exist in his body(lowered reflexes and speed) which are not cured by Edo Tensei. That's like saying Edo Tensei repairs old age, which is untrue, Hiruzen was still weaker than part 1 version, just that the pain and debilitating effects were cured. If a weakened lower than death-bed Itachi is far faster than Naruto and Bee's Reaction Speed(no question mark or exclamation in thier heads so they didnt react) and Samehada's force speed(the sword hit the ground already before itachi speed blitzed backwards yet didnt create craters even after itachi arrived past beside Nagato), then how much fast and powerful is prime Itachi or even deathbed Itachi who was still holding back against Sasuke even with illness and blood coughing to give him the win? Try respecting the King instead of making BS scenarios on how that blonde haired fodder with his flying crap-god technique will do neg. The markings can be removed from his body by repelling it with the Yata Mirror which is stated to "Reflect all things" or destroyed by Totsuka Blade stated to cut through any enemy. The marking is the enemy, totsuka will destroy it with it's ethereal liquid which is intangible because of a special mechanism induced into it.

1.- Other Genjutsus that aint Tsukuyomi wont affect Minato. He is very great at chakra control and a Sensor. Izanami only works with those who lost path and Izanagi. Minato is a sensor and Itachi cant catch him off guard.

2.- Gai is not the only exception. There was war between clans such as Uchihas and Senjus where Hashirama and Tobirama survived and something they have different from other is that both are SENSORS. No wonder why they could fight Uchihas. Minato is a better sensor than Hashirama.

3.- In fact, this was affirmed in the war. Minato can link his chakra with someone's chakra. Susano is the chakra form the user. Minato touches the Susano and links to the User. Minato can decide what to take and what to leave.

4.- Raikage was the one who knew this. By the war, even knowing this, will all the speed he has, could catch Minato. Someone thousand times slower also wouldnt.

5.- Itachi's attack wont hit Minato. Minato does not need to hit Itachi, just touch him once and it is over. I already said said why Susano is a big disadvantage here besides its high chakra cost for Itachi. With a mere Kunai to head is enough.

6.- Speedblitz in a fight with Minato is inevitable. In fact, the first to hit might win.

7.- Itachi was not able to keep up with Blood lusted Naruto rather a Naruto who just keeping up with Itachi in order to change info.
